The facility has been there for a long time, I remember that it had been the Red Barn Hotel years ago, not realizing that the Day's Inn was now in it's place, when I booked online. I was pleasantly surprised at all the updates and remodeling that has taken place. I liked that they had a small fridge in the room, as many are now facilitating that as a feature. They also have a nice facility for a good breakfast, with a few hot items.
all reviews » The front desk staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Free breakfast includes sausage & eggs (protein, if you're avoiding carbs!). Reasonably convenient to Black Canyon (don't miss the boat ride in the canyon!), with options for fun things to do in town. All of the staff--the ones who directly helped me as well as the ones I passed by--were very friendly. The front desk staff particularly were responsive and welcoming. The room was quiet (#216). Although I didn't eat, the breakfast seemed substantial. Great value. Clean, comfy, friendly, great breakfast - good value. Days Inn Montrose had the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in!. Very friendly and very helpful staff. Continental breakfast was good! Pool area was nice. Overall, very good experience. great value for the price, everthing has been perfect. I highly recommend this place. also very friendly staff. The room was clean, the bed was good and the breakfast was more than adequate. good location with easy access personel friendly and went above and beond. It served its purpose. It was clean and in-expensive for "just a weekend". Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice pool. Overall the room was very clean, especially the bathroom. But,it had dark carpet and could have used a good vacuum all over not just in the main area'S.The fact that I used to work in housekeeping, makes me a bit more critical on the cleanliness of Hotels. Nothing. This is a good, solid, mid-range motel. The shower water never got hot--it was warm enough, and if it wasn't summer, it might have been too cold. The complex is older - that might be off-putting to some. Entry to the parking area. Apparently they have been "victims" of a phone scan, where someone calls you in the middle of the night (2am) and tries to get credit card info from you. The managers knew about it and decided to tell us after we woke, got dressed, and went to the lobby. If they are not going to do anything about it they should at least inform their guests upon check in. Our room was on top of the laundry, with the result our room vibrated from early morning to late afternoon. I also think it is not value for money. We stayed in a suite at Best Western for the same nightly rate.
