At our arrival prior to Check In Time Ivy was truly fantastic. She gave us options of different rooms. We stayed at the Mountain View room 25 and overall Malibu Country Inn was the best accommodation during our travel through California. The room was very comfortable, with open fireplace, four poster bed, lounge suite and a large marble bathroom. Some rooms are in the process of being renovated, we found 25 was very charming (even romantic) as it was.
all reviews » Rachel on reception was excellent and went out of her way to make sure we had the best stay we could have had to the point of offering to arrive a 6am to make sure we had everything we needed before we left. Our suite afforded comfort and privacy and was very welcoming. The views were stunning and the facilities were more than adequate. A tremendous find and would thoroughly recommend this anyone wanting a reasonably priced break in Malibu. The manager is amazing! She gave us a ride to and from a wine tasting event ! I felt she went above and beyond. They were so nice and accomadting. The resteraunt, Kristies, is adjoining the hotel and it was delicious. After driving for four hours, they had our amazing salad ready in less then five minutes. We had dinner and breakfast aswell and it was all very good. We loved the manager Ivy! We loved the food by Cristy. The spa was great. We were relaxed and Ivy made everything fabulous! Our room was clean and we loved the tv. location, location, location; cleanliness; restaurant; restaurant service-+++; simplicity but appropriateness of the room decor; peacefulness. The room was amazing and the location was great, walking distance to the beach. The staff was warm and friendly, also very professional. Great location near the beach. Beautiful views. Friendly staff. I would return next year during the Malibu Marathon. Service was very accommodating and upgraded me at no cost it was fabulous! Get the suites they are amazing!. We liked the staff, the quietness of the room, the location, and the quaintness. I liked that I could relax- get away and just enjoy the atmosphere.. :D. We love having the patio to sit outside, eat a meal or sunbathe. Loved my room 24 with ocean view and would ask for it again. A quaint little place. Clean and quiet. Decent price. The staff responded quickly to our complaint of an unclean area in the room. The location of the Inn is close to Point Doom Beach where we saw a wide variety of sea life including dolphins, seals and sea otters. We had a nice brunch at Kristys restaurant which is located next door to the Inn!. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient and the surroundings were lovely. An excellent cafe attached. Proximity to Pacific Coast highway and Malibu area. Excellent restaurant adjacent - good food. Nice location near beaches and 101, good restaurant. Large central living area. clean rooms. Location Restaurant on property Jacuzzi on patio. Nothing!. bathrooms were clean but could be upgraded. Little bit of dust on floor, patio furniture was not clean. The fireplace kept turning off!. Parking was difficult. Especially if you had to park behind the row of rooms towards the back. No vending machine or food on site. Had to leave the property to find snacks. Nothing. Nothing. Limited parking area. The room was missing the television remote control and the windows on our private spa patio were dirty. The room was very cramped as the bed took up most of it. The balcony had not been cleaned and was very dirty. terrace non clean - loose of water from the tap - at the checkin the lady does't explain herself about the checkout time "we knock the door at time...We had some problem..."...(you 've to repair something???) but we had an early wakeup so nothing occur. Hated the stairs. Bathroom was not ADA compliant Poor shower design no counter space in bathroom. too far away from the action. Our room was right across from the supply room -people always coming and going every time we walked out our door and our little patio was not very clean so we did not sit out there. We thought we would have a better view of the ocean. Old, rundown room Paint peeling No A/C.
