The location was excellent. The view from the room during sunrise was great. The restaurant layout (on a balcony) facing the water is great for any meal. Staff was very welcoming. The complementary newspaper from my country of origin (I never stated where I was from or that I wanted the newspaper) was a very nice added touch to a wonderful stay for my wife and I. This was one of the most amazing views I have ever had in a hotel! It was waves crashing at your balcony rooms very classy and little touches that were so appreciated. The lobby was cozy and warm the food at restaurant for breakfast was fresh and service was great. I would highly suggest this hotel out of a 10 its a 9.8.
all reviews » The entire place was set up perfectly. The service was good and the view over the Pacific was to die for. The valet parking team were so friendly and helpful. In my humble opinion the whole hotel was outstanding. The King suites are worth every cent. Culinary offerings were innovative and excellently prepared. Weather was beautiful so outdoor dining over the beach was great breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had a nice interaction with the General Manager. Loved that it was right on the ocean with waves rolling up right beneath the hotel. Loved the restaurant waterside. Loved the fresh baked cookies in the lobby every day, the cleanliness and comfort. The hotel was beautiful right on the coast although there was not much of a beach. The rooms were nice and the dining area was directly overlooking the ocean. Lovely!. great location. well appointed rooms and excellent staff - very friendly and helpful. would highly recommend the reastaurant. will most definitely stay again. Ocean front room, comfy bed, fire place, coffee, chocolate chip cookies , fruit, restaurant , staff, balcony, wildlife, beach walks, beautiful homes, privacy. Truly wonderful staff, beautiful location (watched dolphins from the deck), great ocean front restaurant with great service. Look forward to visiting again!. Also, did not like that did not have a bath tub to relax after long day at pool or spa. Our rate was affordable we wanted to stay another night and the fare tripled! Hotel seemed empty seemed overpriced and unaffordable. The beach is somewhat small and it belongs to Malibu so it is not totally private; that said, great to sit and people watch from. There is some road noise but if you open your doors to the ocean the waves are all you hear. Did not like the noise from the Pacific Coast Highway. Did not like that there literally is nothing to do, no shope nearby etc. Had to drive way up the coast to find good places to eat if you didn't want to eat at the hotel. R. Very expensive and although we were promised a partial ocean view it was more parking lot than ocean. For the cost of the room we should of been able to open the balcony door and heard waves instead of cars. I also think we got the worst room because it was booked through letsbookhotel.com. Poor tv broadcast quality, high priced guest parking. Nothing. Had to pay for parking. Nothing. 27.00 overnight parking fee felt excessive and a little like gouging. The food was just okay. Price, the internet wasn't fast. Price of course, but the price makes sense. Coffee machine in our room wasn't working. very expensive. Service very poor, the room was dirty and had a terrible smell and management did not resolve the issue- they were in a "meeting". For the price we pais it was a rip-off!.
