We stayed 2 nights for my daughters 21st bday. Even though the weather didn't cooperate we still had a good time. Location is great because everything is walking distance..great Itailian restaurant Gusieppe's. Hotel Restaurant was good to but was just opening this weekend. New outside bar looked great but wasn't open due to inclement weather. Hotel was great. Their was only a mix up when checking out. The front desk was charging us more, even though we had pre-paid thru letsbookhotel.com a nigh.
all reviews » The resort was great .... we had booked for a courtyard room.. When we got there we got a upgrad to a penthouse with lake view and we were welcomed in our room with a bottle of champagne... Great staff ...we loved it. The staff was wonderfully accommodating. We came to the lobby at 11pm for a corkscrew and there was no problem. Our room was beautiful and very clean, and we had a lovely lake view from our honeymoon suite. We liked that the hotel was in walking distance to the shops in town. Also, the views from the pool and cabana bar are amazing. On Thursday night you can view the fireworks from the private beach. The hotel was on the lake. We had a newly remodeled room. It was clean and excellent location to the village. They had kayak and paddle boat rentals on the resort. The pool was heated and clean. The staff was very accomadating, The first room they gave us was next to a room that was under construction. When I asked if was okay to be in that area they immediately gave us a new room. Clean, comfortable accommodations with a very friendly staff. The lakeside and mountain views were beautiful. The breakfast buffet was complete & a good value. Walking distance to Lake George Village; nice pool and cabana; clean rooms; reasonable rates; friendly staff; convenient parking. Perfect location, right down by lake, clsoe to center of town, upgraded to a larger room when we got there, suite was great. The location was fabulous. I love that there was an outdoor heated pool. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff and the over attention and experienced management I enjoyed the restaurant and the pool deck and view. Just a quick overnight stay with a group of motorcycle buddies on a trip thru upstate N.Y. and on thru Vermont. I liked the overall set up of the Resort. The resort was clean, the staff friendly, and great for families. i liked the accomodations and the fact that it had a refrigerator a microwave and especially a coffee pot. the staff were so friendly and very accommodating. we do plan to stay here again in our next visit. Even though all the stores and museums where closed for the season. The exterior was undergoing a roof replacement at the time we stayed there, and while that was unsightly it didn't bother us tremendously. I'm sure the renovation will be finished by summer. Our tub and sink was slow to drain. The only thing we didn't like was that we didn't spend enough time there. Our room appeared to have recently undergone some renovations; the molding around the door was missing and the sink base was less than stable. No counter space in the bathroom for personal items. Bathtub stopper did not work, so no bathes. Toilet needed some attention. Both were reported upon checkout and the Desk Receptionist said she would have both taken care of. Small/limited workout room. I felt that the step into the pool and the slate around the pool were both very dangerous. most things were going on on weekends only. That one staff person told us we could have a early check -in ; but when we arrived we were told we had to wait another 2 hours(We just drove 4 hours). nothing. AC didn't work the first night,but the staff promply fixed the problem. There was nothing I didn't like. everything is a bit rundown. The bathroom could use more hooks for towels and there wasn't anywhere to put toothbrushes, toothpaste etc. next to the sink. Maybe a shelf or two by the sink would be good. Too much of the Resort was under renovation. Only dining option was basically closed. Beds were a little too hard. Buffet was a disappointment Closest ice machine broken No room to put anything in the bathroom. Wall are thin. later arrivers were very noisy and I was unable to contact anyone during the night. Price a little high. Coffee pot or phone did not work. It was a weekend trip and i wanted to stay there longer. Nothing :). bathroom counter too small. The room we stayed had couple of bad things. 1) The shower curtain smell so bad. 2) Bathroom door hard to close due to missing screws. nothing. room heater. Bed was stiff. - Internet is very slow. very - It was clearly off the season – entire village was rather deserted. - I was all alone on a lake view line of rooms and this is quite sad and slightly scary. Beds were a bit uncomfortable. No refridgerator. Hotel run down and needs updating. The TIKI Bar was new yet the chairs were wrongly sized, bar TV's and over fans did not work. The rooms were nice but the property is outdated. Renovated rooms done hastily. It's still a 'motel' room. My son and gf had the honeymoon suite. Really? It overlooks the pool which is the only nice thing I can say. The room under the honeymoon suite is used to entertain groups of people traveling by bus. The air conditioning did NOT work at all. No one knew how to repair this problem. Staff did change my room The coffee pot in my son's room had whit crusty stuff inside the water part of the pot. Staff replaced the pot. Over priced. There was no mention in the description that this resort was a motel and not a hotel. I think describing it as a resort was quite misleading. Although we had a good experience at the Georgian we did not expect a motel and were quite disappointed. Maybe you would be able to rectify this on your website. Rooms were not maintained, staff was rude. Especially the bartenders. Small room; no towels at pool and when I asked someone said they would be forthcoming but never did; bathroom small with no counter space for make up; very expensive - thought it would be nicer for the money. check in staff not the friendliest, hotel was nice but definitely showing age...thought it would be more up to date.... hot water went out after 5 minutes. That it is not a resort. It was actually a motel. It was nothing like it was advertised. My court view was aview of the parking lot. All of the stores and restaurants, even mcdonalds where closed for the season. The museums where also closed. The motel was dirty with cigarettre buds and trash all around. It was horrible. I will never go there again. I would not recomend this motel to anyone. Go somewhere else. Not lke george since there is nothing to do there!!!.
