The Grand Guesthouse was an incredibly quiet, relaxing experience. It's away from the party scene in Key West, allowing us to sleep like logs and have a leisurely breakfast on the patio each morning. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Showers had great water pressure and lots of hot water. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with things to do and places to eat. I would love to go back every year!.
all reviews » I loved the coziness we felt the second we walked in the door. Everything was very clean. The staff was the greatest, the breakfast was absolutely wonderful. We left on our scheduled departure date. Went to town for lunch and call to get another night, we just didn't want to leave yet. We loved the convenience of our location to the town. Thank you, Mrs. LaDuke. Derek (I hope is written this way) has been wonderful, he gave me plenty of tips to enjoy Key West and I definitely did! Loved also the backyard, such a lovely place to have breakfast! I have been around Florida for 10 days and this was definitely the best place!. Its a historic Key West wooden building in very good condition. Nice quiet location. Parking was easy. Staff were very good. All of the other guests were middle age couples. At breakfast we sat at a large table and had a good conversation with two other couples. Lovely 3 days spent at this B&B smalish rooms but we had a suite which was adequate for our stay .Air conditioning very noisy so very hot at night . coudn't fault anything else ,a really lovely house in the Old Town. The room was fabulous, staff was verry friendly and helpful, bike rental on the site, breakfast was perfect, the Grand House atmosphere is like in paradise, close to the beach and Duval st, would stay again!. The Grand was located close enough to all the sites to get around quickly, but far enough away that it was quiet at night. The staff was very helpful and informative. The rooms were clean and spacious. Location was good.... very peaceful & quiet. Breakfast was adequate. Staff was friendly & helpful. Room was immaculate & cozy. Received coupons for dinner that worked out quite nice. Beautiful house and setting. Close enough to town to head out and get home safely. Derek and the other partner were sweet and great to us. Would be a little more upscale to offer wine & cheese in the evening. Woke up in the middle of the night to some drunken guy locking up his bike at 3 am. Not the aces fault. Just a draw back to our room. No threat to us or anything. Just a late night wake up call. I know where I am and these things happen. I loved the place. Prbly just avoid the room directly to the left of the main door. The property didn't have a pool. The hotel was a little far from Duval Street. The air conditioning was super noisy, there were no shutters at the windows, so the room was full of light since the sunrise... The room was a bit damp. I would recommend a dehumidifier for that particular room to make it more comfortable. the slow toaster!. breakfast was the usual ho-hum continental you recieve in most lo-cost motels. needs improvement!. Bed pretty uncomfortable only real issue. The AC is far too loud, we have to turn it off and use the fan. Rooms were a little starkly furnished. Not a lot of closet space. Living room was very warm. Lol. Some of the strange looks from the other people staying there when my boyfriend and I were together at the breakfasts. Not a problem though. could have had coffee a little earlier than 8:30 but not a big crisis, location was a little far from everything. A bit expensive in my opinion. I didnot dislike any thing. nothing. No Gluten free cereal for my sister at breakfast. Bathroom did not have enough surface/counter space for stuff . Breakfast was nice but eggs were hard to peel. I'm allergic to soy which is in baked goods do had to avoid most breakfast items - a list of ingredients would be great. We were upstairs could feel vibration of people walking and slamming doors late. But no fault of staff. Nothing. not in the nicest neighborhood. Staff was very accommodating but not very friendly. No pool or hot tub. a little further from Mallary and Duval than we thought. Not walkable for us. Further from Duval st than we thought. Nothing.
