Staff was friendly, room relatively clean, location was excellent- we were within walking distance of the coliseum, where we were attending a 3 day event, hotel was quiet. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice. Hotel was convenient. Especially liked the fact that I could get a smoking room. The staff was very courteous and Check me in quickly. It was cold outside but my room was nice and warm when I walk in.
all reviews » It has many of the personal items a luxury hotels has. Location. The front desk staff was excellent. Great cleaning staff. Each day my room was cleaned by the time I returned to the room. I would stay again. The rooms were very clean & smelled good. The staff was nice & courteous. The proximity to Hampton Coliseum. Carpet was in need of a cleaning, we just made sure that we kept something on our feet. The water took to long to get hot and then did not get hot enough. Breakfast could have had a better and more selection. The room needed to be aired out, could use an air freshener. Old interior. The telephone in the room was not working, but once we got someone to give us a new one, there was no problem. What I paid was not the price quoted on my registration form. However, I'm not too upset about it because I was allowed to stay in my room an extra two hours because I ride was late picking me up. I didn't know that this was one of the perks to being a choice member. I did not like when I re-booked the rooms for another night & paid for the stay over that the staff was not alerted & came to my room at checkout demanding we vacate the room. The sausage & juices, although they were free, were not very good. The rooms were a bit smaller than the picture depicts. The tv's are old and had poor picture quality. no cold water and when the cleaned the room we came back and had to call for towels and wash cloths. It's run down should be taken off your list. The toilet broke twice. Sink wouldn't drain until we removed the plug. Housekeeping dropped this outside our room (ie cream cheese packets) keys got deactivated and could only get one key after that. No microwave in the room. No coffee pot for coffee maker. front door glass broken, black water comes out tub water when first turned on, poor house cleaning rugs in room and hall torn and dirty, wiring to ac/heater hanging loose, bedspread had four large burn holes in it. cracker bits and food wrappers under chair cushion along with wet cloth. I have stayed at other Rodeway Inns this is the worse I have ever seen. If I could have gone somewhere else we would have. Housekeeping did not goe us fresh towels nor clean our room after they said they were when we left for our day out in the city, we came back and everything was still the same as we left it. The room was small. There were holes in the curtains. The furniture was old and scratched. The room smelled funny. Will not stay at Rodeway again. First room wouldn't open, so we switched. Second room had a non- working toilet, broken refrigerator and a strong scent of urine. Third room had only hot water in the shower and a non-working ac. Fourth room, which we switched to on the third and final night, finally had most things working, although some outlets were dead. In the end, the hotel charged me $60 more than my reservation. Worst hotel ever. Avoid at all costs. Bugs in bed. Holes in shower curtain. Cigarette burn holes in comforter. Dirty room.
