The staff was extremely accommodating to our needs and couldn't be any friendlier or helpful. At the reception desk, Gabbie and manager Matt were terrific. The waiters (Steve and from Red's restaurant were especially friendly. We celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to the Cape and would all be happy to stay again at the Sea Crest Hotel. Several restaurants on site to choose (no room service but grill pickup/take- out option was big with the teenagers as well as the ice cream shop). They also enjoyed the pools, gym, bikes and beach.
all reviews » Great location on the beach looking west. Enjoyed having the fridge and coffee maker which can be used for hot water for tea or cocoa. Easy access to other parts of the cape for day trips. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was lovely. The food was great. The beach was gorgeous, and the watersports rentals were fun and they were pleasant also. Staff very helpful, eager to assist. Room clean, supplies well kept. Housekeeping staff pleasant, asking if there is anything else they can get for you. Nicely maintained physical facility with excellent staffing. Perfect location. Having beach umbrellas and chairs set up for you. Been there twice. Gonna try to go again !!. atmosphere and closeness to the beach. Ocean view. And indoor pool. being on the beach. The room was nice, with mini-fridge, iron and free wi-fi (no safe though). The beach is nice, but crowded. View from room. Location. Location. No view. Very few rooms had decent views. Also alot of very small children and babies. One of our rooms was next door to a toddler who cried alot and apparently the crib was placed next to the wall. He banged the crib against the wall in excess of 10 minutes several times over the course of multiple days while we were in the room. At my wits' end, I notified the hotel who offered to move us but then said the other room was checking out so we stayed in our original room. Pillows very uncomfortable for people who don't sleep on their back. No elevator to 2nd floor, we booked an ocean room and had to change to 1st floor as handicapped and can't do stairs well. Ended up in room overlooking courtyard because very busy weekend due to a convention. Will have to remember in future to ask for 1st floor if available. I wish there had been a safe in our room. I was quoted 160 for the room and charged 165 before taxes. Small difference, but I believe in honesty. Because I was satisfied with my stay, I did not quibble. I will watch that the next hotel / resort I go to including Sea Crest. Pricing at the Reds Restaurant are exceedingly high, especially being the only open restaurant on the premises. It would have been nice to have had the a choice. Food was good. Amenities such as courtesy coffee in the lobby or continental breakfast. Didn't like Starbucks. We were charged about $40.00 a night (3) for an "ocean view room". We did not have an ocean view room. It was a room with a view of a black roof. We asked for one upon arrival, but were told they were all taken. Kind of ruined my opinion of the place to get charged for something we didn't get. nothing. dry room. "ocean front view” means a view of the very crowded outdoor pool (with the ocean in background). This resort is more of a place for families with kids, I would not recommend it for couples with no kids. 15$/day resort fee. For all the nice amenities in the room, we were shocked that we did not have at least two glasses rather than paper cups. We had to go to the bar to get a pair. Front desk staff. Screaming kids in hallway, view, no elevators, everything froze in refridgerator, tv messed up, short sheeted bed, extra fee for something we didn't use.
