Was traveling through to Upstate ny and stopped at Pocono Inn. At first
I was concerned that if I arrived very late (11:30 pm) that I would lose
my room. Didn't happen. Also, I left the hotel before 7am and there
was no one at the front desk to check out. I called the telephone number
listed on a sign outside the door and was instructed to leave my keys
under the door. Old fashion hospitality! Love it!!! Would probably stay
again if needed. all reviews »
Very pleasantly surprised... Clean and great value for a overnight stay.

Location is great, perfect access to I-80, kayak/river rafting company right across the street.

Hotel was dirty and in disrepair. Zero security in place including unlocked building doors. Bar/restaurant is closed with government place card on window.
Surly front desk staff. Many things broken in the room (lampshades, tiles, lightbulbs). Stains on the ceiling. Could have been cleaner.
They don't clean up the room every day. No fresh towel every day, I
called front desk to get fresh towel, but it took me half day to get it.
If they don't give me fresh towel daily, they should have mention it
when I check in.
They seems to have some sort of party there, too many random people around.
No coffee machine in the room. Had to get a staff member to unlock the breakfast room for breakfast. The rooms need to be upgrated.
It was dark and dirty and hallways smeeled dreadful. Exterior was ridden
with trash and building was in disrepair. Restaurant/lounge was
closed down. Staff was rude. Amenities were sparse. Bathroom was the
worst - had to stand in "standing water" while showering.
Toilet was blocked with toilet paper still sitting in it. Restaurant was out of action. The property smelt and did not look clean.
It was trashy. Smelled horrible. Was absolutely disgusting. Yes it was
cheap by smelled like smoke, pot, and poop. When complained to desk they
said it was because person in room next to us was smoking. Funny I
thought they had a no tolerance rule about the smoking.
