Everything! The hotel is right off the interstate exit, It was extremely clean and the desk ladies were super nice and friendly. Our room even had a little stove built in the kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker... The place smells really nice and the sheets smelled fresh. It was probably the best mattress I've ever slept on in my entire life. They also provide you with all the pillows you could possibly desire. They have palm trees planted all around the place and when you open .
all reviews » The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff was very professional, helpful and friendly. Tess, the front desk clerk when we checked in, always had a smile and greeted us each day asking about our day's adventures. Krystle, another front desk clerk, reprogramed our room keys for us when one stopped working after coming in contact with a purse magnet. She did this twice without a single complaint, snide remark, negative facial expression, eye roll, etc. like so many front desk personal te. Ease of reservation, access to I-95, snacks, breakfast, friendly staff-- that I could use my american express card to pay. (Which was not possible on our first stay 5/9/13 when my card was 'rejected' due to the management having cancelled the amx service. I paid cash and was asked to leave a $25 deposit to off-set consumption of in-room snacks (?) available--when I was offered no receipt for this deposit, I had to explain I wouldn't leave a cash deposit unless I did receive a receipt to resent . When we walked into the room, we couldn't believe how large and nice it was. We expected, for the price, to possibly get a dump, but that was exactly the opposite. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were made to feel like part family and enjoyed the evening chips and lemonade. It was very nice to be greeted with a smile and hello everytime we entered. The lady manager at the desk was fantastic. Great location, staff and manager were quick to resolve an issue with the booking. Would recommend this lodging for anyone looking for a quiet place to stay close to on/off exit to the highway. Some restaurants and outlets across the street and gas stations nearby. Excellent staff who were able to deal with the fact that letsbookhotel.com did not seem to have told them we were coming. The hotel was clean and well located close to I 95, fuel stations, shops and restaurants. Immediately upon entering the friendly desk clerk offered e some free lemonade and advised me of a get together that evening. Nicely laid out room, comfortable n clean bed sheets.Excellent value. This hotel is top notch on all aspects - cleanliness, facilities, breakfast, staff, even the manager personally checking on your level of satisfaction. Thank you Marina. You will see us again!. Days Inn Darien was wonderful. One of the best roadside hotels that we have stayed at during our trips. It was clean and staff was friendly. Liked that the rooms all have an inside door. Great Price and friendly staff. The room was clean and overall the hotel had a good feel to it. Free breakfast was also a big plus! This is definitely one of the better Days Inn. Staff was especially helpful, courteous. Beds/pillows were great. Evening nachos, good continental breakfast. Management obviously takes pride in the hotel. Everything was great. They go the extra mile to make it an unusually pleasant experience. I wish every hotel was operated like this one!. Getting in to the hotel itself was somewhat convoluted since you had to enter via the Hampton hotel, cross their entrance to get to the parking and hotel. The breakfast was very filling. The room was clean and comfortable. Fair price for an overnight stop. Nothing. We tried two rooms--first, a first floor room smelled of smoke and felt dank and dark. Second 214 didn't smell of smoke but smelled 'sour'. Really disturbing was fact that smoke alarm in that room was open with no batteries in alarm and then at about 8:oo am all the smoke alarms in the entire hotel screeched for about 10 minutes. The kitchette could have had a small number of kitchen ware to go with the stove. When we arrived on our due day the computer showed we would be there the previous day. Staff checked their paper confirmation with ours and it showed the correct information. The computer was incorrect. No problem checking in on correct day. Everything was a bit tired and needed a makeover that included an improvement to the sound insulation between rooms and between floors. We eventually slept and slept well. A little too much light came in thru the closed drapes that night. Not really any restaurants to choose from at this location. A fee fast food places. No pool, but since our stay was in October this was definitely not an issue!. Bathroom corners (grout) could have been cleaner. But not so bad to overshadow how good our stay was. Nothing. N/A. It was awesome hotel. I really can't think of a thing to add. Maybe a bigger sign - entrance was a little confusing. We were traveling towing a 21ft bass boat. The parking was a little tricky but we made it work. I did not find any faults with this hotel. I wish all hotels I stayed in were this good for the money. The breakfast was cold, but we also didn't come down to eat until 8:30 which is understanding. Coffee pot dirty from previous tenants. Everything else was clean. Funky smell to the place, maybe from old carpet? Not sure, but it messed with my sinuses. The Regional Manager, (Dee) took the sign off our door that stated "Dog In Room, Please Do Not Enter". This never happened to us in the numerous hotels we've stayed at. Having to pay a twenty-dollars fee for checking in an hour or thirty minutes early. Poor parking access. Very crowded breakfast set-up. Poor seating and confusing buffet line. Kentucky Fried Chicken next door was the worst !! (Food and Service). Nothing to complain about. Registration was insulting.. &Quot;Sonny", needs lessons in manners and courtesy...very rude, abrupt, needs to learn lessons of his countrymen.. Apparently he thinks everyone is a thief. I'll definitely avoid this hotel in future. Entrance to property wasn't easy to locate. For us, the breakfast was not the best for a diabetic person, but not a major concern. Need two chairs in a room with double beds. Could only sit on bed if other occupant is in chair. Couldn't eat breakfast it all seemed very processed, but I do appreciate your effort. No luggage cart. We couldnt understand how to enter into the parking area. Breakfast. Breakfast area was too small for the size of the property. and # of guests staying there. Need to increase the size of the breakfast area. hard to find between the other two hotels. There was an awful smell in the bathroom even though it was clean. I booked the room for 2 days yet when I came back after being gone the first day, my room key did not work. Apparently the person at the hotel only entered my reservation for 1 day when it was received from letsbookhotel.com. The hotel corrected it but no one had cleaned my room that day - it was as I had left it. They did not offer to clean it & I had to ask for more clean towels. I will not stay there again. My credit card was double charged for the room. Days Inn blames it on letsbookhotel.com, and letsbookhotel.com blames it on Days Inn.. No one will refund my money. I recommend anyone staying here and booking through letsbookhotel.com watch your credit card carefully. The place is also hard to find and stuck behind another hotel. You have to go through one parking lot to get to the days inn lot. The signage is also poor. A/C was very noisy Parking lot was very small. Cold to lukewarm (60-65 degrees) shower water in the morning. Front desk response to inquire was that it was a cold morning and our room was at the end of the building. No offer to do anything about it.
