Clean rooms. Friendly and responsive staff. Good price. Pearl's restaurant is great!! Secure and safe parking and hotel entrance. Close to highway and cta green line. Quiet area and room. Bronzeville is a cool area and has a unique history. It's a neighborhood that's usually overlooked by tourists and travellers. Clean, spacious room with fridge. Good value. Helpful and attentive staff. Close to bus stop and Indiana stop on the Green Line elevated. Fifteen minutes to downtown Chicago by public transit. Great soul-food restaurant in the same building, with fabulous breakfast buffet.

The manager, whose name is Robin, is an excellent hostess who will see to your needs and comfort, is a great representative for the property. Tha Amber Inn is the only place I will stay when I come home. Hotel was clean. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. I would stay here again. Near the south side, speaks for itself. The front desk staff were great, made us extra keys and called taxis for us whenever needed. The room was clean and large for four people. Staff was amazingly awesome, we were upgraded and the room was very nice and well air conditioned. Jacuzzi tub was so lovely. The staff were very friendly. The manager showed us where the train station was, told us about the area. Nice sized room. every thing about the room was good. the restaurant being close by and such great food. Restaurant food is very good is the true taste of African American culture. Overnight parking was very good. Good location to get to down town. Best location for all the places I wanted to visit. Don't listen to the other reviews on here. The area is safe and the hotel is secure. Every single taxi driver we had in going from the city to our hotel told us what a bad area we were staying in. We had no problems, but got back to our hotel relatively early each night. no coffee pot no hair dryer 3 keys to get into the room but it did make us feel safe. All the service. I did not like the area it was in and how far it was from the city attractions. I also did not appreciate that someone was in my room when I left for a few hours. I know this because the door was left slightly open. I made sure it latched completely when I left the room. having to pay. No coffee pot in room Only a choice of one restaurant (the owners of Pearl's also own the Rib Place Carry Out across the street) The restaurant did not open till 8am on Saturday so there was no place to get a cup of coffee. Not a neighborhood that I would feel safe walking in. no coffee machine or kettle. location. Need power outlet for laptop or charging phones. Need to improve drain of bathtub. I didnt like the hotel in general , the neighboorhood Is very dangerous and even cabs don't like to go there fit safety issues. It's unfortunate because the room wasn't so bad, but I was just afraid of being there!. The receptions sits behind a glass screen. Presumably for his/her protection, not mine. Says it all really about the location, which is in a deprived run down area with the problems that go with that. Peligroso.
