our family upgraded us to the carriage house suite as a surprise.Inkeepers delighted to make arrangements , order flowers and champagne as requested. They delighted in the surprise and joy for us. Wonderful atmosphere, people, cuisine, and a luxury suite. Our second stay there for an anniversary. plan to visit more often. AAA all the way. She was very helpfull. Very friendly and helpful staff. Provided a lot of information. Nice lounge area. Nice Breakfasts and friendly waitresses.. Clean well appointed rooms. Convenient Parking. Old world charm and helpfulness and friendliness of staff. Toleteries provided. Relaxed atmosphere. Use of Common Room and computer. Bar area and breakfast area. The rooms are very cosy and the location is perfect, walking distance from the city center. The hotel has a pool for hotel guests and free parking. The hostess was the bomb She told us of a great resteraunt. Which was perfect, she spent time with us and was very entertaining. We loved the charm, the coziness, the pool and the best room in the hotel with our own personal private outdoor jacuzzi. relaxed atmosphere and attentive staff close to Chatham center - great breakfast and comfortable lounge. Beautiful room to the back of the hotel. The atmosphere was very friendly and the hotel is beautiful. Staff could not be more helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant. Charming decor, friendly staff, nice breakfast. The breakfast was fine. would not change one single thing. There was nothing to be displeased about. One minor item is lack of lighting by bathroom sink which made shaving a real adventure. Getting a little bit tired round the edges, patio door didn't shut properly in our room. Son's room kept running out of hot water for shower. The rooms have thin walls so you hear other guests a little bit (not in a disturbing way). Nothkng. There was nothing we disliked. Would have liked a sofa or two chairs rather than a daybed for sitting. On the balcony would prefer chairs to the lounges. Lack of restaurant. The guests overhear we're a little noises. Pool was cold. Bathroom had little or no place to put toiletries or hang clothes or towels. The property is quite dated and needs some attention. The accommodation was expensive relative to the age and location of the property. Bed was too soft, shower had mold and peeling porcelain in tub, my lady saw what she thought was a flea jump in the bathroom. Walls are thin. TV is old and small, not enough parking. No staff stayed in the hotel after 9pm. The lounge was getting renovated,stairs very steep up to first floor, no evening meals provided, lumpy bed, just awful.We left after first night but paid for 4 they allowed no credit for the 3 nights we didn't stay.
