We had a nice welcome at the check in counter and as I asked for a quiet room, the nice lady gave us a room facing the pool ont the second floor so that we wouldn't be annoyed by the trucks starting very early in the morning. The rooms are really modern and freshly renovated, not a usual motel stile. For a one night stay before entering expensive Santa Barbara just perfect!. The price was great for the location, just 10 miles south of Santa Barbara. It was clean and decor was very nice for a motel 6. Staff was friendly, and the pool was a nice bonus, although it was to cold to get in. Early check was nice(1pm).

I also liked the location (being close to early morning coffee at the shopping center) I felt that the motel gave excellent value for money, and I plan to stay there again. Loved the remodeled décor...modern, simple.... pergo floors replaced dirty old carpeting and trendy linens replaced old flowered bedspreads! We wouldn't have stayed there otherwise. Located within walking distance of full range of shops and cafes. Short drive to State beach - one of the best for safe swimming. I liked that we were able to bring our dogs with no additional cost to us, also was really close to downtown and the beach. The room was renovated, really nice. The location is good, closer to a coffee shop and restaurants from Carpinteria. Close to the polo club that I had business with. Had a room on a holiday weekend, but long line to check in. Very Clean, loved the bathroom. Seems someone really taking care of guests concerns and real needs. The hotel was quiet and clean. It had easy access to several restaurants and the beach. Nice, cheap and comfy. Nice to have free parking. Quick and easy check in. Rooms were nice and clean and the staff was very accommodating. Clean rooms, beautiful pool, well maintained landscaping. no carpet but laminte floor! nice room, new and clean. Walking distance to beach, shopping and retaurants. Vacancy Location - hard to beat California. The front desk staff were pleasant . We had a good offer at booking, only paying half the normal price. But if the normal rate would have been charged it wouldn't have been worth the money. With normal prices over 100 dollar very overrated. The beds were hard and the plumbing was a bit loud. Pool was a little cold. Would have appreciated a box of Kleenex, a little bottle of shampoo, and conditioner and a hair dryer. Far too expensive for facilities available. Others nearby at same price but upscale to Motel 6. Rooms were a bit small and the towels were really thin. No extra amenities(hair dryer, coffee pot, fridge, etc) coffee n office wasn't offered until 7:00 am!! (Needed to leave much earlier). Company put it on business card online (I was there. It was for a two day reservation) but at check-in they would only charge them for first night and I had to come up with other night (reimbursement takes time and lucky I had it). Beds could be a bit more comfortable. Make coffee available for guests before 7AM. Some people have an early start. There could have been a little more comfort, but for the price, it was an overall good night. It isn't somewhere I'd stay more than one night. Would have liked a hair dryer in the room. The day of our arrival, a worker had been asked to hose down mat, sidewalks, etc - the use of water for these chores was irresponsible. Please explore alternative methods to achieve desired results. The neighbourgh at night is not raccomandable . Need a car to stay there. everything was excellent!. Wifi is 3 dollars per day, per device. Mattresses were too hard. Slow internet Internet fees. Would like softer beds and maybe coffee. Nothing. No fridge in the room No coffee machine in the room. The rooms need more lights. The room was dark. The walls are paper thin, the TVs in the next room are up against the wall where people sleep and even if they weren't, would be easily overheard through the walls. I felt like I was in the same room as my neighbors and they partied until 3 A.M. Making sleep almost impossible. I would not recommend the location purely because of the noise issue and lack of sleep. Staff was friendly and attentive, they cannot be faulted for poor facilities design. The rooms are very small, and slightly over priced for what you get, the room keys had to be reprogrammed every day even when we kept them away from everything else. Bugs! Noisy. The bed was soooooo uncomfortable!!!!! Makes no sense. The bed was uncomfortable and the noise of other rooms' water very loud in our room. Bare minimum in comfort. It was a bit noisy. floors all vinyl, no shampoo, at this price there could be more than bargain basement amenities. We had to keep calling Housekeeping because we a bad odor in the room. Then we were moved to another room that had no covers on the bed. Hard beds; uncarpeted floors; no shampoo; thin towels; generally spartan room; may be less expensive than alternative hotels but hardly a value. Shower water pressure was awful Pay for internet. No fridge. Poor value for money. Room smelled like disinfectant. No carpets A/C didn't work through night. Fans too loud. Adjacent room shower and toilet too loud. Uncomfortable bed. the front desk help was rude. See above. Everything. Beds were horrible. I would have received a better night sleep if I had been laying across railroad tracks. Staff was completely condescending and rude. I will never stay here again. Ever. I don't know were to start. My husband and I were on a week long road trip on the PCH,starting in Oregon we had stayed in six different motels.The Motel 6 in Carpinteria being our last stop befor heading home to Las Vegas.I Wouldn't recommend staying there. The room was dirty.hair in the beds,and the bath tub. The floors haven't been cleaned since who knows when.The beds were one hard mattress on a board.if it wasn't so late we would have found another place to stay. I slept with long pants on. - Beds were hard uncomfortable - No irons or iron boards available, staff stated there was only (2) and they were in use. - No shampoo or conditioner - No hair blow dryer.
