Very clean room, smelled clean and everything worked in the room that was supposed to work. It was close to the 55 Expressway which will take you right downtown Chicago. We also were able to go to Brookfield Zoo which was only about 10 or 15 minutes from the Motel. We were able to get coffee and food fairly easily nearby in the morning. The staff was very nice as well.
Although the Colony Motel is an older facility, it was very clean, and
that is the most important thing to my family. The bed was very
comfortable. And even though we didn't use the pillows (we always
bring our own pillows), they had more substance to them than a normal
hotel pillow. We were very happy with our stay and would recommend the

No problems with anything - was able to concentrate on my work. Fridge
already cold, microwave in room, good fast wifi internet connection that
was easy to log onto. No charge for any of these. Decent low$ Asian
cuisine, vegan & vegetarian options, in same block. Nice
neighborhood to walk in to get some exercise. Felt safe.
Friendly staff from the beginning, we got the room we asked for which was neat and tidy and most importantly clean. Beds were comfy and all appliances including wifi worked as they should. Very close to Tony's restaurant where the food was excellent.

Surprisingly quiet place on Ogden. No door or street noise.
It was close to our family and the Lagrange shopping and eating center.
The price was good.

I was very pleased with the room! It was fantastic.
I was there for 6 days and was pleasantly shocked I could get so much for so little. It was the best value for money service given the cleanliness, facilities and the relaxed neighbourhood.
Very clean comfortable room. Well kept and great bed! Decent location with numerous restaurants close by. Pleasant and nicely updated. GREAT value for the money and Chicago close.
Excellent pillows! You may not think that pillows are important. They are. These weren't too hard or flimsy. They I slept great. It was a very good value.

Desk person was not very personable on check in. Guests should be welcomed and greeted and we were not. IT would be my only negative observation.
The station can be far away with heavy bags so a transfer would be a great help.

We could hear all the traffic. Our biggest issue was the free porn
channel. This was a big surprise to us when we were flipping through and
saw everything. No need to request the channel it was right there for
little kids to see. When we were checking out we asked the lady (owner)
if she was aware of it and she said yes, and what was the problem with
it? She became highly offensive over it. She says all hotels do that. I
have never seen this at any other place. Will not stay here again.
Location is ok but train can be infrequent on weekends especially sunday. There is a station close to motel but only stop during peak. Otherwise you have to walk a bit.
Other disrespectful self centered narrow minded guests who have no idea how loud they are.

I didn't like that the pillows they were old and flat.
The door to our room needs to be repaired or replaced. It was quite beat up and did not make us feel secure.
Air conditioner went off when the electric went off for a half hour.
My room was a smoking room. This is my only complaint.
The hotel needs to use vacuum cleaner on the rugs regularly and pay attention to cleaning the floors with soap.
Facilities are very modest. Just bed, hairdryer and microwave oven. No breakfast.
There is no bedside lights, no hd tv, no Coffee maker. Does not furnish
a detailed receipt (when they charged more than the amount given to me
by letsbookhotel.com.
If it add coffee maker, that would be much more welcomed.
We had booked 2 twin rooms, one was OK if a bit dimly lit. The other smelt strongly of disinfectant and it took a long time for the A/C to reduce the smell ( perhaps we should have asked for a change but we were only there 1 night ).
Parking was pretty tight especially when someone parks a long pickup.
