This was a very last minute booking and we got excellent value for our money. Staff was helpful and friendly. We asked for a quiet room location and got exactly that. The beds were clean and comfortable and it was a very peaceful night even through the hotel is located next to a busy freeway exit. The breakfast exceeded the expectations we held after reading previous reviews - the strawberries for the waffles were an appreciated and unexpected touch.
all reviews » Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the breakfast is excellent. It is lovely to have access to the internet and the use of the printer. We love that there is a free shuttle to the airport. Furthermore you we were able to park our vehicle for no extra fee being we stayed at this Guesthouse before we left for our vacation and when we returned. Very excellent service and for that we are so very appreciative. The staff were great, everyone went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The hotel and rooms were clean and tidy. As we stayed a few days it was nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room. The complimentary breakfast was one of the better ones we have experienced with lots of choices. Would definitely stay here again. The room was clean and in a good location. I was able to walk just down the block for dinner and coffee was right next door in the morning. It was easy to get to off the freeway and reentrance to the freeway was easy as well. It was quiet even though the freeway is right near by. The staff were wonderful, very accomodating. We had a daughter who was very ill and they let us check in early and stay a bit late so that we could make a doctor's appointment. Nice breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms. Great people all around!. Everything else! Amazingly friendly staff up front and maids, so helpful. The spa broke one night, wasn't hot but that was just once. Our room was rather crowded and the bathroom was tiny.... but it included a microwave and fridge which were welcome. First impression was not good at first because the girl who checked us in speaks in an unprofessional manner and I almost walked out right then and there because of that. Rooms are usually small. Shower water pressure was very weak. They didn't have an extra blanket and the kitchen garbage was not emptied (it was full). Room and bathroom were smallish. Microwave didn't work nor did clock. Highway traffic very loud. Reading lamp bulb was burned out. A swimming pool and workout room would have been nice. Locked dining room, small. Room was small and cramped for our Family of 4. The spa is tiny.... Our kids wanted to get into it before their Rugby Match the next morning, but were unable to since it was after 10 pm and the Staff said that there was a guest room above it. Noise from the highway. My room was on the end so the wifi was very slow if at all. very small parking lot -- some highway noise. spa - too many chemicals, not hot enough; needed to borrow a shower chair - none available. Room was way too small--wouldn't stay there again. hotel is to close to the highway, rooms on the highway side are toooooo noisy. Kept us awake all night. no chocolate chip cookies, they didn't get delivered. Small room for having king size bed in it. Not much room if you have baby with you. A little exspensive. Furnishings in the room were worn. Mattress seemed old and hard. TV was ancient. I thought it was expensive for what it offered. I felt it was a bit overpriced for the accomodations and the first staff member we dealt with was not very friendly. i booked room and they would not accept my aaa card for a discount. because i used book it.com. Location is just off the freeway and the third level rooms are at eye level and it's noisy. We moved to the first floor and it was quieter, but there were cars driving by all night. It is interstate 5, so the major highway in Washington that leads to the Canadian Border. Not willing to have early access breakfast for cyclists on RSVP as other hotels did. Evening desk person unfriendly and morning desk person was unknowledgeable. Room temp. was not manageable easily. Strong perfume smell in the halls and on the bedding. Nothing else. The room was absolutely minimal: hardly room to pass betwen the beds and the furniture on the other wall, no extra paper products (1/2 roll of toilet paper and no replacement, the sink was very slow to drain, there was almost no horizontal surface space in or around the bathroom facilities and it was at least $30 more expensive than several of the other standard motels in the area. The room is old and small and had been a smoking room in past. I could still smell that stench one can never get rid of unless a total reno is done which has not been done for years and certainly not since they went 100% non-smoking. Room 318.
