The location close to Reagan airport by the hotels free shuttle bus is a big advantage, as is the metro within the complex. Also there is the Crystal City shopping complex, very touristy but giving many food and beverage options. The big bus open top departs from Pentagon City Mall an easy 3 blocks walk away, with a good food court, restaurants and shops including mobile phones. We will stay at this hotel on our next visit to dc, a location worthy of many city visits as there is so much to see.

When I arrived I needed water to take my meds and I was immediately given a bottle from the gift shop along with my sister who was traveling with me. I only regret I do not remember the staff member's name. I think it was Lisa. She saw me the next morning and said 'Good morning Mrs. Hollis'. I thought how in the world could she remember my day from the previous day with all the guests she had encountered. I was impressed. Crystal Gateway Mariott is the perfect hotel if planning to visit DC. The Metro is on site, which makes travel into the city effortless! Also, the shops that are connected to the hotel via tunnel are a perfect stop for breakfast or dinner either on your way into the city, or back from a long day of sightseeing. All I wanted was to rest and not be disturbed. The staff was very considerate of that fact. The room was outstanding. I was very, very comfortable. The check-in and check-out was speedy and non-complicated. Service was polite and amazing and always served with a smile. I did not want to leave!. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. I arrived earlier than expected and was able to check in early without any hassle. Hotel is convenient to Metro with access through the hotel lobby. This helps make travel easy and safe for a solo traveler. Excellent Location ,underground shops and a subway station one stop away from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport !. very comfy pillows and mattresses very friendly,helpful staff especially Nikki at front desk above and beyond for her. Buffet breakfast was great but a little pricey. What is Arlington? I stayed at Crystal Gateway. Parking was a bit pricey. No complaints whatsoever!. Wonderful stay. Can't think of any negatives. Having to pay for the Internet !. parking garage price and surly attendant. High cost of parking. The place is undergoing a needed renovation and is rougher around the edges than the usual Marriott standard. Furnishings and rooms a little dated. Free WiFi in rooms would be nice. did not like the $26 fee for parking the car yourself or $30 for valet. you should be allowed to park for free paying your rates. Liked everything. It did not have a full services restaurant. It ahd a bar you could order but not a restaurant. Service at front desk, asked to checked in and was told to wait for an hour or will be notified once room is ready, this never happened. Had to check in again after a 30 min wait. Overpriced. Concierge staff was rude and unhelpful. expensive, no internet, 13$ per day cost, poor facilities, no showers in swimming pool, furniture very old, clean not excellent, not to the expectations for the money i paid.
