Blackout curtains Front desk made sure we got the room we had booked even though the computer showed otherwise. Upon arrival the valet/bellman was as nice and friendly as could be. Everyone was very nice. The hotel was lovely, we had a wonderful time there.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful!. We were pleased with the staff and hotel. Staff very nice, location great. Clean, nice and modern. clean rooms. Area/Location Swimming pool Bar. The location was ok - a 20 minute walk to downtown Annapolis and the great thing about Annapolis is the free shuttle service, which also served the Westin. What made up for the poor facilities was the attitude of the staff...as usual the people made our good memories of this hotel. Free trolleybus starts outside. The double showerhead (Not as luxurious or even useful in practice as one would imagine. Thankfully, there was an off switch to conserve the unnecessary water) Poor ventilation in the gym Placement of light switches was not intuitive. lunch staff could have been trained better. Not much. The swimming pool has too much clorox and not ventilation at all , it not a good choose if you choose this hotel for the pool!. Parking did cost money. However, after taking a shower grabbed a towel and smelled like dirty feet !! Was completely grossed out, grabbed another one and it was clean. So disappointing. One reception person was nice but did not attend to our request for a move from one room to another. She said she would take care of it but when we returned it was like it never happened. We did get the room change because of noise from the lounge and all was fine. The pool area, you felt like being guarded. and the hours are ridiculous if you are on vacation and want to wake up and go for a swim and whirlpool before your day. Closing at 10 and having staff so bored wanting to leave is not a good place for a relaxing vacation. no continental breakfast or coffee. they still did not know our rate when we checked out.our receipt was over $439.00. hoping the credit card bill is correct???. No free internet No free parking Not helpful reception. Our much anticipated stay in Annapolis was coloured by our disappointment in the Westin. In no particular order: 1. lift malfunctions 2. room key malfunctions 3. fridge in our room didn't work 4. although 2-bit diners offer free WiFi, we had to pay a daily rate at the Westin for the same service I would avoid Westin hotels in future as a result of this stay. Reception denied knowledge of booking and tried to charge full rate. Bathroom grubby and used nappy in the bin. Shower rail fell off. Tv intermittent. Undergoing refurbishment so little peace after 09.00. Charged for sombody else meals at checkout. No hot water in the morning for a shower. When I told the desk attendant she said there was nothing that could be done. Was told the wrong time for the shuttle, causing me to have to almost run to meet a boat at the docks.
