all reviews » This is the second time for me in this hotel and were generally establish a distinct and wonderful which is characterized by calm, peace and spectacular view of the room.I loved modern design of the room and various equipment and especially the bathroom and rainy shower. As well as the swimming pool is very suitable, especially for children. For this I recommend this hotel to stay in Abu Dhabi. - Value for money rooms inclusive breakfast for 2. Room and swimming pool were v clean. We had an enjoyable stay especially excellent service from Staffs in Horizon Restaurant namely Victoria and Sohail. They were sincere in attending to our orders despite the rush hours during breakfast. Keep up it guys. We will definitely return and recommend our friends and relatives visitng Abu Dhabi . Staff is very friendly and helpful! Because of its location, this hotel is ideal for a short stopover in-between two flights. Staff are courteous and very helpful! Room, bed and shower are excellent. I have stayed in 2 other hotels in this area and think the Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate is best value for money! It is likely that I would stay at this hotel again. The room we were given had a beautiful view on the canal.The pool is big and wide, which I havent seen in many of the new hotels. In May, the sun is directed at it almost all day, which is perfect for sun tanning. The valet parking is fairly easy. There is a petrol station near the hotel to refuel. The bed is very comfortable. very clean hotel, this is the seconed time i go there with my family and kids,rooms very clean , swiming pool very good ,other facilities very beutifull,food in burger resturant very tasty and good price(25-30 aed),braekfast they serve with buffet different hot drinks , tasty food very good service , jetski near the hotel. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was very comfortable and quite, the staff was friendly, location was not difficult to find. The food that we ordered from Room Service was average but i liked the Pizza Extravaganza though. Well, with the price we paid, it exceeded our expectations. We will definitely return!. The hotel is very clean, with very good breakfast buffet (including fresh orange juice, espresso coffee, and egg station) with very nice views. Close to Sheikh Zayed grand mosque and easy access (less than 20 minutes) to Yas Island. Free parking available. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The swimming pool and spa were great and open at convenient times. Trained life guards were always in attendance at the pools. I stayed at the Novotel Gate abu dhabi with my wife and 2 year and i can not fault it! Room was spacious, clean and well presented. Bed was very comfortable. Asked for a late check-out and the staff were more than happy to do so. Helpful, friendly and excellent price. We were given an upgrade to suite with king bed - although we would have preferred twin beds as we were 3 friends! However they did also provide an extra bed rather than have us use the sofa provided, which was a really nice touch. Everything, the hotel is very nice for a family holiday, pool, spacious rooms, truley everything i liked about the hotel espically the billiards and table tennis that they offer for free, nice way to keep the kids busy while you relax with a cup of coffee. Of things that i did not like the cafeteria closes early so it closes at 12.30 pm.As well as breakfast is good, but it contains the same menu without changes, which makes you feel bored after the second or third night. The menu at the restaurant is rather limited and doesn't reflect too many healthy choices. The gym/fitness area is great but incomplete. Management should add equipment for training of deltoid and triceps muscles. We arrived and they didn't have a smoking room ready. The location is very hard to get to, especially that there are no signs directing to the hotel. The glass is transparent, so people at the pool can see inside the rooms on the lower floors if the curtain is not closed. Never order sandwiches from the pool bar, they are poor and not worth spending money on.The breakfast is not really a 4 star breakfast, not much variety. Just keep in mind you need 200 dirhams for the deposit at the reception. room card stop working at 11 am , one hour before check out. The pool could have been a bit larger and the mini bar should have been checked before the next guest arrives. Isolated, but shuttle provided to downtown. Possibly some additional things for kids like a play area. Would have liked an extra toilet as there were 3 of us sharing. However, it was spacious enough and we managed fine. Nothing :-). The only possible drawback is the location, since it is a short taxi ride away from much of what you might want to see and do in Abu Dhabi. However, taxis are cheap, and if you are looking for something near the airport this is a great choice. It didn't have an indoor pool and it is situated outside the city so you need to taxi everywhere. Check-in staff does not know how to handle people who jump the queue. Wearing a kandura does not entitle people to be first in line and check-in staff should be trained how to handle this local 'behavior'. None. There was a kids party by the poolside on our 3rd weekend and was a bit noisy, but I know this does not happen every time. Just be in the pool after the party is over. Room for 3 persons is described much bigger, actually the third bed was a sofa, only suitable for a child and there was no real blanket on it At the first call rgd. Description how to get to the hotel, the staff was not able to explain it correctly, thus we neede some time to find it (you have to drive thru the gas station! (No sign which says so!) The Margarita in the bar (2nd floor) ist more an iceshake with tequila. We were directed to a supposedly non smoking room but the smell was dreadful....it was definitely a smoking room. The staff were quick to respond & changed our room. We also objected to a charge being placed on our credit card (in case we used the mini bar) which would not arrive back into our account for 14 days. So staff came & removed the contents of the mini bar instead. Far from abu duabi country little bid and no shopping near by. I have no points for improvement. Room service slow response only. The ac temperature in the room is locked and could not be changed not until we advised the staff from the reception to get it fixed. The hallway to/from the swimmingpool shoud have a rubber mat to prevent guests from slipping due to wet floor. No one is answering when you call the reception or housekeeping from the room. Wireless internet is not working consistently, very low/weak signal. Variety of breakfast needs improvement. Service at the poolside restaurant was slow, and so was the checkout process. Sports bar should be added Or add more sports channels in the room televisions. location is not very central, but close to airport though. The only thing is that we waited 1 hour to get a extra blanket and pillow for my daughter. We kept calling and they ignored the call, which led to my husband going down to reception. Need to get more staff. The lack of sun on the swimming pool. - Location (Too far from City and Yas Island). - Breakfast menu needs to be improved.Almost same menu every morning. The room is a bit small and the blocked amount in my card took fews days to be released wherein I was been advised that this will be done after a day of our check-out. 1- blocking almost double the value of the room from the credit card. 2- up til now the blockage not released. 3- small fridge. 4- buffet breakfast didn't have much variety. Breakfast needs addition of some more dishes. Breakfast selection from buffet was limited. Facilities such as swimming pool, billiards,etc are open only up to 2300 which limit the enjoyment of hotel guests especially those guest travelling with a very tight schedule.
