Clean and modern, but small, standard room. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff including concierge. Generally western european standards. Good location for city center and close enough that we could walk (but a long walk) to the Lavra and other sites overlooking the Dnipro. When we arrived early for breakfast, we were informed that we should have requested early departure breakfast (no one told us), but then they let us in and all was well.

Very good location: 10 minutes to the central street, 5 minutes to metro station. Breakfasts are tasty and there is a great choice of food. There is a hair-drier, small fridge and safe in a room. You have a possibility to order taxi to railway station or to airport in hotel. Free wifi. Every day cleaning.And very pleasant price, of course!. Rus hotel had very nice and helpful staff specially anastasious, ANNA..etc. They were very keen to remove any obstical faced to make stay as confortable as possible. Moreover, they had excellent breakfast ,.. more look like five stars breakfast. The view is also very nice in 17th floor . I would stay again there is i went to Kieve. The hotel is located in the city center and is staffed with friendly and well-trained personnel. The rooms are not big, but cozy and equipped with everything that a traveller may need. The room service is perfect. In general, the hotel is a good combination of quality service and good price. Good hotel near to the metro station, and about 15 minutes walk to the center. Perfect breakfast, with good variety of meals and very tasty pastries (and it lasts till 11am). Rooms are clean, there are always 2 bottles of water, a tea pot, some tea and coffee for free. The staff were very attentive from the first minute with excellent English. The free internet access without need for a code was also good. The breakfast was excellent and, value for money, it was far superior to another centrally located hotel I had stayed in earlier. It was my second stay in this hotel. The staff was good as always. No problems with elevators. Breakfast was superb, also there was a pianist who played during the breakfast. Had a nice view from window. Conditioner was working perfectly. Everything was fine water bottles replenished every day. good resturant.room was clean and comfortable. tea making facilities in room. would like to stay there again. near metro but there are steps down to it about 100. The location is great, up on the hill! The view from the 18th floor is splendid! Walking distance to the center- Kreschatik street. Metro station (blue and green lines) is also nearby. Internet - there was poor internet connection in my first room, so the staff immediately offered me changing to room on different floor. Internet was perfect since then. All is good, every time I am in kiev I stay there, I feel the Kiev city in Rus hotel. They have a very nice Terrace area outside for food and drinks. Staff never disappoint me, excellent. Safe hotel, staff knows English, you can go to the city center by walk.. cheap when it is compared with the service and the other hotels. Internet is working well at the rooms. The new room still had somne A/C problems but not same as previous one. Location is nice, but you had to go up a small hill and many stairs (around 80 stairs) every time you think to go out. For some people it may be a problem. The hotel is placed on a high hill and you have to climb a lot of stairs on your way from metro station. The fact that I could not negotiate my own terms with the taxi to the airport. I stayed there with my father, so it was difficult for him to climb to the hotel 3-4 times per day, because it is located on the hill. # 1202 we had problems with closing the window. Built on a hill so steps down to Metro sports palace.close to a small church down hill across road, very interesting ladies to cover heads with a scalf before going in.Takes about 15 mins to walk to metro. Nothing!. Even the lux room was quite small, the doors and the sofa looked old. Staff sometimes may not let you to enter to the rooms with some guests. WiFi connection to my PC fluctuated. The room was very small; but OK. The shower had an odd curtain that hung in the middle of the tub, so in the way. They could use some bowed curtain rods. Also, internet in the room was very poor; had to do most of my work in the hotel bar, which had much better connection. The room 512 was nice but not as nice as 418... They need to bring all rooms to the same standard as 418... Airconditioner in room not working right. Room 1108. The swimming pool at the front of the hotel was not working but it was full of filthy water and not an attractive feature to walk past or look down on from our room. When we arrived, the reception personal drew my card for paying for the room without telling that she did that. We would like to have the opportunity to know that we payed at the arrival and not at departure, and we would like to have the opportunity to pay in cash, if that was what we wanted. We ordered a business class room because of "extra big bed". The result was not as we expected we had a duvet cover for 1,5 person: I was sleeping under it, my boyfrend was sleeping under a thin small cover. The bed was also for 1.5 person. If only we have known the size of extra bed, we would deffinetly not spent extra money. Food in the restaurant for lunch and dinner. Internet speed could be higher. The single beds in my twin room were of a poor standard and quite uncomfortable. I would insist on a double bedroom next visit. The rooms are also quite small. No internet service in my room was very inconvenient and management should improve their system. The hotel was hosting a major event, so room service was unavailable during my stay!!! No kettle in room!! For a euro-hotel it is expected these days almost everywhere???. Reastraunt for breakfast should be bigger. The restaurant stuff could be more helpful to incorporate more people as it is over-crowded. You couldn't shut the window completely. But you don't feel it thanks to good heating. The room was small and noisy- apart from the dilapidated fridge in the room, there was also all night humming from air conditioning outside the building, yet it was so loud that I couldn't sleep. There are 2 restaurants in the hotel, but the prices were killing, even for Kiev. double room is very small, acceptable for one night but would be difficult for a long stay. The taxi desk inside the hotel are a rip off. They charge triple the regular fare, walk outside the hotel and you find many taxi for at least half price. Maybe the hotel was overcrowded, but there is a reason for it - these days were Russian national holidays, and Russians love Kiev so much they rush to the city whenever they can. Rooms a bit small and air con not great. It wasn't that hot when I was there so the poor air con wasn't really an issue but it might be a problem in the middle of summer. bedroom was a bit small and dated but not a big issue. nothing. The the rooms and the corridor need maintenance. High price. Furniture is outdated. No tea/coffee amking facilities in the room. Breakfast queues. Room a little small but OK for one. The smell from the bathroom, very poor internet access, choice of TV channels is limited. room a little bit "old forniture" i do suggest a superior room,or business. Expensive taxi hotel service. Ask for a city taxi is less than half of the price and reception can ask for you. - No cold juices served at breakfasts - Gym is not free of charge. Absence of umbrellas at the reception. Our bed sheets were dirty and had to ask the staff to change. Booking taxi at the hotel was very expensive. It was better to go out and take one. It would be good if they give teat and coffee making facility in the room.It is not a cheap hotel they should at least do that. you can not call from the lobby and from the room to cellular phone/.
