This place is an absolute gem. Very welcoming and friendly. The room was immaculately clean. Slept really well in a comfy bed. The ensuite and shower were spotlessly clean. Food was great, especially the breakfast which properly set me up for a long day. Highly recommended. Great value for money & ideally placed for local attractions. Will stay here again anytime I'm in the Newcastle area, beats the premier inns by half price & has a good atmosphere in the pub down below!.

Washington gives easy access to south shields newcastle . and golf if interested. Location /Price for our needs. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Room very clean and comfortable. Food very tastefull and did not 'skimp' on the portions. Everything! It was nice to feel welcomed and at home, the food was qaulity home made, the people are reeally nice and friendly, I will defo be back there. Staff very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are above the pub but I haven't heard any noise. Great breakfast. I did get locked out on the smoking veranda but it just meant I had to walk around to get back in. The loud television ( but thats just me, I don't do TV sports). leaving. TV reception not really good enough, reading light by bed would be nice. The external needs renovation and the karaoke in the bar was noisy though it did finish at 10:30. Nothing. noise at 11.30pm. The area seemed a bit grim and it wasn't straightforward getting in and out of Newcastle. Wasn't offered extra toast with the cooked breakfast which would have been nice. The area looked a little dodgy and we were worried it was going to be very noisy on a Saturday night, what with the Karaoke! However, all was fine. Single beds and noise from the pub downstairs. room was slightly small but suitable. noise of toilet system.
