If you intend to stay in East Yorkshire and enjoy good food and comfortable surroundings at reasonable rates then this is for you - watch out for the accommodation offers they are really good value. The restaurant is very cosy and the rooms are well appointed which is great for the traveling exec or for the connoisseur traveler. You can eat reasonably but you can easily spend £50. Stunning value for money. Beautiful accommodation, blissfully comfortable bed, very quiet, and staff who are clearly happy little teddy bears. We almost stayed an extra night just because it was so nice.

The website photos don't do it justice, beautiful place, excellent facilities, lovely room, great staff, fantastic breakfasts. The standard of maintenance within our bedroom was poor - a hole in the partition wall between the en-suite and bedroom. The grouting to the tiles. The finish was well below standard.Hot water irratic in temperature. Small point, but the breakfast room was quite small and there was a wait. If you are given a table away from the windows it is quite dark, but still comfortable.WIFI internet access very flakey and not available from most rooms in the hotel. not really. decor a bit dated and gloomy although room in modern extension bright and comfortable. My room hadn't been made up from the previous guest two days before, I was upgraded to a suite though. The quality of the food did not reflect the a la carte prices.We had to move rooms on our 2nd night, as there was a dance on on the 15th and our room was above the hall, didnt get much sleep. then we was told there was going to be antother dance on the 16th, so they moved us to another room. initial room allocated had a frosted glass, non opening window - no view at all! replacement room much better.decor becoming dated....and showing evidence of lack of maintenace. It was quite obvious that the toilet had not be cleaned and the bathroom bin had not been emptied after the previous guest. The starter in the restaurant was very poor and the main course only a little better.Quality of the room,room was tired and needed upgrading. Hotel let down by housekeeping. yes the state of the room was substandard not standard and should have been in the £70-90 value not £110. I will be following this with a complaint.

The Cave Castle Hotel is situated in the heart of South Cave, bordering the A1034 and just minutes from the M62/A63. It stands at the western foot of the Wolds, in a very pleasant tract of country, about 4.8 km (3 miles) from the River Humber and within easy reach of the historic towns of Beverley and York.

At Cave Castle Hotel there are 3 types of rooms available either in are in keeping with the Castle's decor and each has its own individual style located in the original Castle or rooms which have a mixture of contemporary and classic feels. These are located both in the Castle Lodge and the West Wing of the hotel. A number of four poster rooms are located in the main part of the castle. All have four-poster beds within them and some provide large baths. Each room has its own style, matching the castle's style. All decor and furnishings are of the highest standard and care has been taken to reflect the historical environment of a country manor.

The nearest mainline station is Brough, which is only 6.4 km (4 miles) away.

By Air:
Humberside Airport is situated 33.6 km (21 miles) from the hotel.

By Car:
The journey time from the end of the M62 is approximately 10 minutes.

From the M62:
- Continue on the M62 towards Hull.
- Continue over the River Ouse Bridge.
- At junction 38, the M62 will change into the A63 (dual carriageway).
- Continue and turn off at the next junction (A1034, signposted Market Weighton/York).
- At the top of the slip road turn left.
- Continue into the village of South Cave.
- Turn left between the kitchen shop and chemist.
- Continue past the school on your left and Cave Castle is on your right.
