The bathroom was slightly dated but this is NOT a criticism. We were in a room at the back which was fine, but the rooms at front of the hotel could be noisy from nearby main road. Not so much didn't like, but would like to see what they do to the style and decor, to make it more up-to-date and aesthetic.Excessive noise (especially at night) from main highway adjacent to hotel. Moving to room at rear greatly improved situation.. towels need renewing. We booked a pet friendly hotel to take our dog but room was too small and the dog was restricted to room only. Bedrooms are small, basic but clean - due for refurbishment.Despite its aa food rating, evening dinner was disappointing and notreally up to the anticipated standard though it was reasonably priced.

Travelling information

The hotel is situated approximately 1.6 km (1 mile) straight from the end of the M50 motorway.

By Car:
- At the end of the M50, follow signs to the A40 Monmouth.
- At the roundabout with the BP petrol station (3rd from the M50), take the immediate turning after the petrol station and before the A40 (you will see a small sign to Orles Barn).
- Around 90 metres from junction on the left is Orles Barn car park.

Please note, at no stage should you follow any signs into the town of Ross-on-Wye
