Quiet Hotel, good location, friendly staff, early check in. very quiet not many guests.Good size room with 3 full size beds. Clean bed linnen and towels. Reception staff friendly and attentive. Booking out !!. Oh how I laughed at the grand sign in reception. The last word in luxury. lift was out of order on our last day, was very hard for my disabled son to get up and down the stairs, guess not exactly hotels fault or intention. shower was very poor and breakfast was extortionartly priced after paying for the room £10.00 per person per day way to much. Erraticness of heating. Being asked to pay everything upfront. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone without explanation without explaining what they are getting - I have seen many criticisms of being in a timewarp and it would not suit everyone at all. Nor, for same reasons, would I stay there for more than 2 or 3 days.noise from the other rooms nearby due to a lack of sound proofing. The hotel did try and accommodate my request for a quite room ie; not near a stair well or lift but sadly the noise from the rooms nearby was something that is not easily resolved. Breakfast was expensive.The price of the food. the price of the room was £25 and the breakfast wasn't include in that .and the breakfast was £10 thought the price of £25 the breakfast would of been included. TV too small, wallpaper hanging off in room. room rather cold needed heater which was provided by staff.Room not hoovered prior to arrival and only on request during the first day. The carpet could really do with replacing or at least a shampoo once every few months. The bathrooom floor looks very old and in need of replacing. Very limited times for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast price too high. Very limited parking - we had to park on the road in a nearby street. Most of it. The hotel was a dump. The colour scheme suggested it was last painted inthe early 80'S. There were rolls of electrical cables on most corridors.The standard of decoration was poor. Breakfast at £10 (suggestWeatherspoons at £3.50) The floors bounced as you walked along them soyou hear everyone as they come and go. I was woken at about 6.30 on aSunday by what sounded like the laundy in full swing.
