It has picturesque views across to the coast, which can be reached in 5 minutes by car. A delicious locally sourced Cornish breakfast is served in the charming conservatory and the dining room, with high-quality sausages, bacon and free-range eggs. Smoked salmon and light continental options are also available. Light bites and traditional cream teas can be enjoyed every day, and the bar serves a range of drinks. Each room at Goonearl Cottage Guest House is cosy, with light décor and a flat-screen TV. Some rooms benefit from an en suite shower room; 1 of the rooms has an external, private shower room. Attention to detail for residents' comfort and enjoyment was particularly noteworthy. Our hosts cultivated a convivial family atmosphere without being too intrusive. They also most valiantly maintained the excellent quality of their breakfasts in the face of a power cut!. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Spotlessly clean, attractively furnished. I left too early for the cooked breakfast but there was a wide choice. (happy with cereal and toast) Bed comfy, everything necessary in the room including hair-dryer.

Satnav stops you at a house further down the lane where the poor old chap must be tired of saying he isn't the B&B!!. The bed was hard but I found out that they were advised by the tourist board to provide memory foam mattresses to avoid bed bugs. Room was a little on the small side but cosy and spotlessly clean . Tiny room. Very adequate for a night or two but would be a bit restrictive if staying longer. It was all lovely. Nothing. room slightly small,(big bed but very little clearance around it) but dont stay in the room, get out and see the countryside!. Bed very hard...really could do with different mattress? And we are used to 'firm/ medium firm' beds.... I had a room with a balcony but couldn't smoke on the balcony, I found this a little disappointing. Breakfast only served up until 9am. I put on 1/2 a stone in weight!. Nothing but I've never stayed in a place with so many rules written everywhere!. the rain. Nothing. Beds uncomfortable. Very small bedrooms.Evening meal not up to standard.Stick to the lovely breakfast.
