What people say
Great historic location, Port Sunlight itself, and within half an hour of both Chester and Liverpool.
The inn is a lovely old building with many original features, the welcome couldn't have been better, even though we arrived during the early evening when the restaurant was busy.
Large room, comfortable bed, free Wi-Fi (yes you do to have registered with The Cloud but I was already as many other outlets use them, and even if you need to register that is a quick and easy process).

Spacious and interesting accomodation (a former temperance hostel !) great location right in the centre of Port Sunlight Village, which was the purpose of our trip (an architectural settlement by philanthropic soap manufacturer). Very friendly, helpful and informative staff. Food good value for money, good wine offers, (could text for voucher code for £5 discount) typical pub grub - no frills! Folk club on a Wednesday, free but you will need to buy a raffle ticket. Mix of amateurs and some firs.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was large with an even larger bathroom!
There was a wedding party in on the Saturday night and also a Ghost Hunt! Very strange! The ghost hunt did cause some noise but this was reported and dealt with swiftly - thank you!
The location for our needs was brilliant and we would certainly stay here again :).
staff were very friendly an helpful. the food was excellent. we had a comedy evening the night we stayed witch was also very good. my parents who joined us for the stay were also impressed that they are booking again for later this month. I would recommend the bridge inn to anyone.
I arrived at the hotel and from the word go the staff I found to be most helpful , I got there about 2hrs early my room was free so they let me have the room. I had a most pleasant stay as I told the reception on leaving .
despite only staying one night I would go back again as the staff were so friendly & helpful. Clean room just everything was right. Would recommend anybody to stay they. Value for money & breakfast was excellent.
I stayed at the bridge in with my sister, it is great value for money and is really clean. Had tea and coffee making facilities and very handy location if you wanted to go to Liverpool as train station is a few min walk.
This is the third time we have stayed in this hotel and we love the slightly old fashion feel it has. The prices in the restaurant and bar are exceptionally good and there is Sky sports in the bar.
We were late getting there but staff very friendly on reception and the bar the building is old style but well kept would like to go back for a couple of days as we only stayed 1 night.
Needed to stay in Port Sunlight and came across the Bridge Inn. It was a good value for money stay in a clean and comfortable hotel. Staff were very pleasant and I would stay again.
Excellent location, close to where I needed to be.
Very friendly staff
Very reasonably priced pub food available.
Quiet room, in spite of being over a pub.
Central position in Port Sunlight so we could walk everywhere and also enjoy a good meal at the end of the day without having to get into the car.
I phoned the hotel to request early access to a room (we had two booked) and the manager and staff were very helpful in making this happen.
The food and drink and the price of them. The comfortable room and bed.
All the staff were very efficient and customer friendly.
Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere around the place was good to be around. Would definitley stay there again.

The ease of finding the hotel and the wonderful location. The staff were friendly and helpfull.
It was convenient to a party location and the staff are extremely friendly.
room was clean and was equipped with all that was required for our stay.
We liked the situation of the Bridge Inn, in the lovely Port Sunlight.

Room was a good size.
Bathroom spotlessly clean.
Not much.
Nothing.
Room ever so slightly tatty but very clean and very good value and interesting (many original features) - but would definately reccommend.
Free newspapers did not include our choice - Guardian.
Just the noise on the Saturday evening - being a pub you do expect some noise - but it would help on letsbookhotel.com to mention that the Bridge Inn holds these ghost nights on a regular basis.
We liked everything!.
The price of the rooms has gone up since we last stayed but still well worth it.
Didn't find any flaws is what it says.
Loud music at breakfast.
Cannot think of anything in particular as it suited us very well for a one night stay.
Hot water not very hot, but I do realise it is an old building and I suppose today we all expect instant hot water.
The extractor fan which kept me awake most of the first night.
Poor restaurant - standard pub based upon mass produced huge portions - never mind the quality, weight the plate. Only instant coffee available for breakfast.
Parts of hotel cold other parts to hot.
Nothing.
nothing.
the room was a little cold.
The fact that a function room, next to our room, was used to train people in the paranormal. We felt uncomfortable in our own room at those times, and had to go out for a couple of hours as we felt uncomfortable being in our room during those times.

Therain!.
Chose of room decoration. Ordering food at the bar.
None.
Dead flies on window sills in both bedroom and bathroom.
Aging furniture.
Rooms in dire need of refurbishment and cleaning above floor height. Bathroom was like something from a 1950's hospital.
The hotel was in need of a little up dating although the rooms were reasonable clean there was room for improvement elsewhere.
bit tired decor.
Looked a bit tired.
Lack of anything approaching proper coffee at breakfast (cut open a bag of coffee powder, and hot water ... yum!).
The price I am writing to head office about the price I paid. My friends stayed in room 11 and paid £65.00 I stayed in room 5 paid £93.00 both booked on Internet.
There is a big difference in price so I would like to know what extras I had then my friends.
Hotel uncomfortably hot.
Reception staff not at desk - 15 minutes to check out.
Entering hotel through main bar with bags.
Lumpy bed
Unclean rooms
Dirty water.
Recetion un-manned, had to go in the pub to find help. Bedroom next to the kitchen extractor. Noise unbearable. Asked for and got a move. Next room toilet flush mechanism worked contiually. By this time I had given up. Hotel is in need of a massive spend to update it. One saving grace was I was granted a free stay for my troubles. Still, paying nothing is over priced. Shame because I love Port Sunlight.
