Great knowledgeable staff available 24h; own cooking facilities to guests was a fantastic plus (incl. everything from fridges/freezer and cooker/ovens to pots/pants and plates/mugs/utensils)! Clean and neat decor, 2min walk from the trainstation and 5min walk from city centre so great location; wifi in the hall; different rooms for different uses such as a library, hall with wifi and tv, biljards-room, back garden with terrace, kitchen and breakfrast rooms; drinks and snacks and anything you mi.

Louise and Rodrigo (Staff) were especially helpful to my sister who needed a comfortable night, and they went out of their way to ensure this. The YHA is beautifully designed. One wishes others had a Library, and such a neat and accessible garden - altogether a sanctuary next to the Station! Great value and memorable experience. Thank you very much. Its all about Location! People! Food! Great Value! Its location is sheer convenience whether by foot, train or bus... It's a great place to meet people from all over the world - the best place to make new acquaintances and friends and to find out places to travel and visit... Food is something else - affordable and value for money; plus you can cook your own meals in the YHA's kitchen. YHA makes travelling affordable for all!. Very good facilities - luggage room is particularly useful. Games room makes it more fun to stay there. Very smart lounge and reception area to relax in. You can have a full English breakfast but with other items like fruit, croissants. Very pleasant garden next to the restaurant, so you can take your breakfast outside on a sunny day. When spending the night in a hostel, in a room with 5 other persons you've never met, you're always a bit weary about whom is going to end up in the same room as you. But here everyone was absolutely lovely. Very clean, close to center of town, large & stylish common areas, cafe with coffee, tea, wine, and snacks. It would be great if the Wifi worked in the bedrooms as well and wouldn't cost extra, but not a huge minus for this. Could not really log into the wi-fi. Very minor things - perhaps the bed should have a top sheet as well as a bottom sheet. It would be nice to have a secondary, very dim light in each room so that if you come in when everyone else has gone to bed you could find your way around without disturbing other people too much. Hard to think of something... Shame the lack of ventilation resulted in grey patches on the bathroom ceiling but it didn't spoil our stay at all. I had a room facing the train station and could hear the trains go by in the middle of the night. The bathrooms were clean but need refurbishing. Space to eat and relax in was at a premium as the hostel was very busy. What's not to like!?. Kitchen narrow so difficult to move around when full. More downstairs loos would be good. Was there a lift?. The only fault was the puddles in the shower room, with no way of drying them for others after use (or for oneself). The shower drain got stuck and we could only use the shared shower rooms. Moreover, the shower facilities was not user-friendly. It is so difficult to have hot water out from the shower head. Free wi-fi available only to YHA members; a very small shower. -The shower was very cold and very small. -Loud, as it was right next to the train station so sometimes the bed shook and someone snored (which was down to bad luck). Breakfast area was too small and cramped. No bath mat in shower room and shower head points directly out of stall so the floor is inevitably wet. internet slow and expensive. Couldnt load pictures on facebook. - Shower room in the room I used was cramped. - Later departure time, instead of 10, I think it should be 12. near the Oxford rail station, it is very noise when the train passed. No free wifi. Other people snoring. The bathroom smelt really damp and wasn't brilliantly clean. Only a problem when you're actually in it though!. A bit noisy in the evening and morning when people go in and out of their rooms. the toilets and shower spaces are a bit small but this is not a big issue. The staff is just okay. A black lady is very slow for everything. To buy a 20 min Internet, I have to wait for around 5 min. Have to wait longer just ti return the hairdryer. The kitchen is quite small. But it's okay, I do not really cook much. Seems everything need to pay. But it's good. The price for the stay is cheap, and you have alternatives to choose to buy extra service or not. That's good. No lift in a 3-storey establishment where heavy suitcases need to be lugged up and down! Strange!. nowt. Knocking noise in water system,sometimes in the middle if the night 'Cat pee'like smell in some rooms Communal areas dominated by spilt beer. Bring woken by drunken youths setting off the fire alarm at 4am. Would have been perfect if I hadn't had to console three young frightened children at this hour. The night staff was not very friendly, and the internet had a real high cost. 10am check out time after a late night!. Could have been cleaner - the bathroom floor and shower were slightly grimy with mildew. a little noisy in the morning - train station near. Too much noise late at night (midnight to 0100) from returning French staff of big pupil group. Room not very warm at night.
