The rooms are very modern and kept very clean, the hotel staff were excellent, very helpful and polite, the overall experience was great. would definately stay at The Holiday Inn Norwich City again and would reccomend. Friendly staff, excellent food, cleanliness of room. Great area for shopping and eating out.great view of the pitch! staff were very friendly, food was good too.

Central for restaurants/pubs and train station, for football fans call just after 9am on day of arrival and ask for a pitch view room. May be offputting being next to Football stadium during football season - unless attending a match. Swimming pool would have been a bonus!. Pillows a bit too hard, some noise from plumbing in bathroom at night.Buffet style breakfast - self-service is good if all the food is available all the time, but here you would queue up for a cooked breakfast but not all the items were there, so would have to settle for breakfast say without bacon or without scrambled egg. They would come out later, but you've had the rest of your breakfast by then. The cooked breakfast was very bland on the first, quiet morning, but fine the next, busy morning.Girl on the bar didnt speak much english and so did not understand the word vodka which was a little odd!. My husband would have liked fried eggs for breakfast. Small details. For example, catering-standard ready-grated Cheddar cheese had to be substituted for Brie in a sandwich as they had 'no Brie left' - but no price reduction! They were also 'out of stock' of marmalade for breakfast. These are small things but irritating in a hotel charging these prices. Showers are a little on the basic side. The consumption stuffs are not up to standard, such as toilet paper, unfilled tissue box, no guest tooth brush or tooth paste. Slow dinner service and the steak was inedible. was told by email ws £95 and then was ghoing to be charged £105 unless produced printed copy of email. which i did the next day.everything else fine. hotel heating - felt cold. room service was quick and well served, but food was average. The reception service was poor. We wasn't greeted or told about any of the facilities, including how to get to our room, times for breakfast and checking out.a little suprised to find the hotel formed part of the football stadium and think your website should highlight this more as although I liked it my other guests did not. The Resturant. They first had no lemons for the drin (this was at 7.30pm) then 3 items were not avalible from the menu. My partners dinner was cold by that time we had given up.... then we we checked out someone elses dinner was on our bill.....another £28.50...all they could say was sorry nothing else ...If i hadnt checked it we would have paid this and lefdt the hotel.Evening meal was a disaster for my wife, meal was poor and did not match the menu - Duck/Noodles was replaced, but noodles were not fresh and overcooked.. Air con in room was awful - too cold ot too hot; never right. Couldn`t adjust it successfully.Scrambled egg was a lttle tasteless.
