This was a 'mini-holiday'for my Nan, and I stayed also to support her trip. Staff were all fantastic, especially Lynne at Reception, who did absolutely everything in her power to put my Nan at ease as much as possible, and treated her like a queen! Extremely satisfied at her level of attention and competence, and the rooms were great too. The Staff were friendly and helpful from the moment, we arrrived. The room wasd comfortable and there was plenty of hanging space for clothes - becoming rare in newer Premier Inns. Lovely situation and good food.
all reviews » Our room was really quiet, clean and comfortable.The Fayre and Square pub/restaurant attached did lovely meals and had really good service. The staff were fantastic at the hotel and the restaurant. I loved the location. I think it's was a good price. The breakfast was great and the restaurant and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was a good size. Bed was comfortable. Everything was fine. Bed was very comfortable if a little high for us ( we are both quite short and perhaps needed steps to get in to it haha). Staff very helpful :-). Staff were pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, the 'disabled access' bathroom consisted of a shower over the bath, and my Nan could not access the bath or shower and so had to wash at the sink, which I felt was very disappointing for her given that we had specifically booked the room because it advertised disabled facilities. Just confused the Premier Inn with others on the lake -- or the taxi driver, did! Need to be very sure of address, if a stranger!. Nothing! It was all great. The only thing I can really say is that the bathroom looked a little dated. And perhaps the drains were a little noisy at times but they are only very small complaints. Otherwise was very happy with our stay. No answer to the reception phone when I rang it (just one occasion). Room was a bit worn, could do with a refurbishment. The bath had grit stuck to the bottom possibly because of shower mat adhesive. Signs to reception weren't very obvious around he back of the hotel. Food in restaurant was terrible! Cheap amd nasty, not everyone wants 2 for £10 deals. A carvery sat out under heat lamps all day and did not look at all appetizing. Everything else was fried, crumbed or covered with cheese. Nothing healthy, worst I have seen while travelling for 6 weeks in UK. Breakfast was awful. All cooked food looked unedible and was cold. Fruit salad was pretty much just melon. Get a better menu and offer some decent food!!. The bed wasn't that comfy could have done with a mattress topper,,I marked value for money as fair, reason being I paid £65.00 for the room (family) two family members paid two different prices for their family rms???. basic hotel, you get what you pay for. TV a bit old and small - but not a big deal for us. Slight annoyance -- I couldn't turn the light off from my side of the bed. Very minor things that didn't reflect my overall opinion but could be improvements, the tv was old and took up too much valuable space on the dresser when it could be a flat screen fitted to the wall. Grout in bathroom could be redone. Bed was not that comfortable. Couldn't work out how to start the shower??? Also, no T.V. Think it may have needed battery in the remote, didn't tell reception as was only one night there. Adjacent restaurant had strange system to arrange meal. There was sewage smell when you used the shower and toilet. no lift. very noisy could hear the peaple in the next room.through the ajoining door. when any flushed or ran water in the upstair rooms it made the plug holes in the bath and sink gurgle all night .so much for a good night sleep would not recomend or stay there again. Late notification of breakfast time changes consequencing in missed breakfast. Should have been informed night before not on the actual morning! Also, I am angry that my son was charged £10 to leave his car parked in hotel car park when I specifically phoned to ask & was informed that would be fine and I remember the lady on reception telling me it was free. Restaurant..very disorganised for breakfast..toilets not clean. .not very clean at the bar..the ordering system...layout of restaurant. .no service but receipt asks if you would like to leave a gratuity. .we definitely would not want to visit again. A very basic hotel. Hard beds, no handkerchiefs, one towel provided for 2 people. The room was not cleaned very well. There were spider's web in corner of room clear to naked eye. No hovering done under the bed. The balcony door could not be opened and no key for it. The vanity unit in bahroom was fitted un level and you could see gaps (very poor workmanship), and we only had 2 tea bags and few milk pots. So overall not a pleasant stay. The fact the housekeepers hadnt locked the interconnecting doors , so i had no sleep. Whole place could do with a refurbe as it is very tired!. No room service, no bar facilities, lack of towels for 2 people, room was nothing like the brochure pictures. Well overpriced for what it offered. Hen party was going on outside our window till gone 12 am which meant not get alot of sleep and could hear the next room toilet all night as if it was our own when I complqined the staff got angry and I asked for a refund she said fine I dont need you to be hear to do that recieved no sorry or even a goodbye.
