We were made to feel very welcome. It was all so genuine, there wasnever any feeling of the owners faking their smiles etc. rooms where great, We loved the place, they could not do enough for us....we will be back .very good breakfast. Friendly owners. We liked the fact that alot of the breakfast items were homemade.Checking in after 23.00 seemed to cause a major problem.

Tentsmuir Forest (2 miles / 3.5 km) - a national nature reserve, Tentsmuir is an extensive 3,700 acre pine forest planted on the sand dunes at the mouth of the River Tay. There is a wide variety of plants, wildlife and architectural heritage.

Discovery Point (6 miles / 10 km) - moored in nearby Dundee, Captain Scott's famous ship, the RRS Discovery was launched in 1901 on an epic Antartic journey. Discovery was one of the last wooden three-masted ships to be built in Britain and the first to be constructed specifically for scientific research.

- At the 8th roundabout (near Woodhaven), take the 3rd exit towards the A914.
- Take the 2nd left and head towards the B945.
- Turn right and Vicarsford is approximately 1 km down the road.

By train (from Leuchars Railway Station (3.5 miles, 5.5 km):
Exit the station and catch the number 72 bus (towards Ninewells) and ask to get off halfway up the A945, near Vicarsford.
