The in-house bar restaurant - Nicky Tam’s – offers ales and premium spirits, with a menu serving traditional Scottish food made with local produce. The Ness Bank area is a charming conservation area in the city, set below the castle and opposite both The Eden Court Theatre and Inverness Cathedral. Glen Mhor is a 5-minute drive from the A9, 8 miles from Inverness Airport and a 10-minute walk from the train station. It is ideal for exploring Inverness and the surrounding Highlands.

An excellent hotel to stay in located very close to the city center and on the banks of the river. We were blown away by how nice the room was, facilities provided and the overall layout and interior decoration of the room. The room was very spacious and clean,with a view overlooking theriver.The bed very comfortable and the en-suite bathroom very modernwith a pleasant colour scheme and a separate walk in shower.

Facilities have been substantially upgraded since last visit. Ambience in bar and reception area particularly pleasant and inviting. Log fires first class. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a newly re-furbished suite. It was beautiful, and decorated to a very high standard. Glen Mohr is located in a good location having good rooms and staff. The restaurant food is also excellent.The staff were extremely pleasent and the facilities were in excellent order. Room was fantastic with a great shower!. the overall friendliness and comfort. Breakfast was good. location. We had couple of problems with the bathroom - the door and the shower head but nothing major. No lifts to 2nd floor rooms - we had a lot of heavy luggage.First class all round. Noise level of doors banging and tradesmen in working from 9 am when on holiday you like to have a lie in. saturday night menu had no chicken dishes. Service of food and drink could be slow at times though maybe because they were busy ish. Sadly bar shut at 11pm, longer opening would have been preferable.Central heating and additional heaters were broken and at this time of the year it was very inconvienient. Quality of food could have been better, a pasta dish on the dinner menu used a a jar of pasta sauce! Breakfast was promoted as cooked to order, when it clearly was not and they served skinless pork sausages, when they have the best butchers in Scotland on their doorstep!. We were very disapointed in the room it was very small and dark situated to the back over looking rooftop my daughter and son inlaw stayed at your hotel and they recommended it as they had an exellent room. Breakfast service was slightly strange - cooked courses came before porridge!. Bar not well looked after (no heating 'til after 7pm) on regular staff day off. Internet only working in reception - bed was a bit small. "Continental breakfast" turned out to be cereal and juice - coffee and toast was available via waiter service but this was too slow to arrive before I had to leave. Waiter service in restaurant in the evening was also not very good. Did not like the modern decor in what should have been a traditional hotel. Breakfast was absolutely awful. Most tables had not been cleared, there was dirty plates and food everywhere and the buffet table had not been replenished. Very poor.Decor was a bit faded. Bad service at breakfast, but I was led to believe that this was due toan unusually large group that were staying at the time.we were put up in a room away up a windy stairs felt a bit like a little guest house the bit we were put in its a seperate building to the hotel and had to come out to get back in. I did not think it was worth £105 for the standard of room. It was cramped with furniture positioned in odd places that were not practical ie, there was no bedside cabinet, I had to put books and cups on floor or window sill. The seal on the bath was discoloured and a bit grubby. It was just a little bit disappointing overall.Iternet access was main reason for booking yet server wAS down. Therewas building and painting going on on our floor so noisy and smelly.Then hammering and sawing at 8am!!!. Poor standard of decoration especially in rooms. Bar service poor (long wait and a barman for whom this quietly patient customer was too much trouble). Breakfast service poor; customers are clearly a nuisance. Loud un-neccessary music only on for the benefit of the staff, it seemed. The room was not clean (cobwebs at window), curtains did not fit and one fell off the rail. All this was subject to complaint which was heard sympathetically. The room was very poor - carpet was dirty and had cigarette burns, the wallpaper was peeling off, it smelt damp and the shower was dirty and the shaving light did not work. All in all the room should not have been let.the bed and pillows was uncomfortable, the room needs a make over (was outdated), no doors on cupboards, position of TV generated a neck injury, mould growing in the shower, pitcure on website was not even close to what the reality was.
