We enjoyed our stay,and were well cared for by a very happy and helpful staff. We had booked to go to two concerts at the Town Hall, which was easy to walk to, and we made trips to Manchester and York, both by rail, and again, the railway station was an easy walk from the Hotel, which had been chosen for its position, which by the canal and marina, we found most attractive. With the re pub/resturant adjacent, we could not have asked for more! The Hotel was surprisingly quiet.
all reviews » After an early start from Stirling in the morning to miss the traffic I was given a warm welcome at the Huddersfield Premier Inn. I also was able to enjoy a good breakfast. My work during the day was very hot and I was glad that I had booked into the hotel for the evening. I hope that I will be required to return to complete the work and look forward to staying at the hotel in the near future. Thank your staff for their help and hospitality. James Harrison. We had some problems with checking in with credit card but the new staff member was helped by her supervisor with little inconvenience to us. Room was great, clean and comfortable. Good value chain hotel, and restaurant attached was great value and good service and very convenient. Extremely friendly and helpful staff from those in reception to the waitresses in the restaurant. I also love the location, walking distance to the town and gorgeous scenary on the canal with all the barges and boats there. Great place, very new and clean (as was Harvester Pub adjoining), very practical, blackout blinds, opening windows, good shower, good bed and pillows, good value at price etc etc. We were there for the Huddersfield music festival, we were able to park the car and walk to the centre,didn't need the car all weekend lovely !!. Huddersfield must have more SAFETY cameras than the rest of Britain and they can't be that successful as we passed two sights where flowers had been placed on the side of the road. My room wasn't cleaned for one day after I asked the cleaner to return later to clean. there was nothing about the hotel that i didnt like. Car parking was limited. Nothing. parking facilities seems limited, there may be more that i am not aware of. Staff very rushed at mail times... the weather but you carn,t have everything. It wasn't clear enough that breakfast ceased to be served at 10.30. Premier Inns don't have a lounge. Could find no fault at all, keep up the good work. Nothing. Parking is poor. all was good. The level of customer service was dreadful. I tried 3 times to pay in advance for my room and was told erroneous and conflicting information each time. Apparent it is company policy to only accept payment in person without a faxed letter or authorisation for a c card! This is ridiculous and cleat not for the benefit of customers. It made my visit very difficult. And it is the 21st century surely they could review this system. Lack of parking. The room was a little small for 5 people. Not very pleased with the meals in the restaurant especially the breakfast which was greasy and expensive. Internet at the hotel should be free not just for 30 minutes for guests staying longer than 1 night. Over priced for the evening meals inside the Ashpley Quality excellent Quantity very poor. residents couldn't get a drink after 11.00pm. Nothing. Breakfast was mediocre - uninteresting. The tv in my room switched on spontaneously at 6.30 am, waking me up. Staff said an alarm must have been set, though not by me. menu was very limited. Compared with other Primmer Inn in other city. Our price is expensive. Although there were two of us, they would supply us with one hand towel only. We had to call to get correct directions to the hotel, and were charged 10p a minute for the call! There was no phone in the room. We felt nick-and-dimed on everything.
