It was very convenient for the motorway. It was in a beautiful location with stunning views across the valley. The food was excellent which meant we didn't have to find somewhere else to eat and that made it all the more relaxing. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The crrom was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful.everything about our stay at this hotel was excellent.

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially on Monday night when the snow came down and the roads became slightly treacherous. Location and the room facilities. the room for the most part was good and clean although there was a strange smell in the bathroom when we booked in. Great location, friendly staff.We weren't there very long so perhaps didn't explore properly, but there didn't seem to be anywhere you could sit and relax after our meal e.g. a lounge. So we just stayed at our table. It wasn't a problem because we were too involved in our evening and chat etc. Probably due to the time of use but the hot water pressure in the morning was non existant. We did mention this to the receptionist as we checked out and she made a note to pass on to maintenance. The room was too hot initially, but this was controllable. banging doors. One thing is the TV should be a bit more up to date and have satellite. The seal was broken on the complimentary bottle of sparkling water. My room faced the front and the noise from guests smoking outside the bar went on until after midnight. The driver of the taxi which collected a member of staff around one in the morning left his very noisy diesel motor running for ten minutes. Noisy delivery lorries at six in the morning were annoying too.Groups of smokers at the main entrance. Main stairs in a bad state of disrepair, room small. we had to wait approximately 45 minutes for all elements of the breakfast to be produced. although people were nice breakfast was not properly organised. the food. very disappointeed. Wi-fi did not work but weather was horrendous and could ahve been to blame. Some staff were very friendly and knowledgeable - others less so. the strange smell in the bathroom and the price of the food was very high. There where also in experianced bar staff at the bar who let some one charge 2 drinks to our room total £5.50 although this was resolved straight away. There was no shower gel in my room, the toilet roll holder was broken, one window was jammed shut and there was no air conditioning, the bed was too small for two, the room was pokey, there were no tissues by the bedside, and there was just 5 tv channels, the tv set was very small. Also the drinks at the bar were very expensive.
