A full English breakfast is served each morning in the breakfast room, alongside a choice of fruit juice, grapefruit and cereals. The breakfast is prepared using fresh locally bought produce. Freshly brewed coffee and tea are also served. Vegetarian option available on prior request.

Free Fitness Express day passes are available for all guests staying 2 or more nights (offer is for one pass per guest for one day). On other days, passes are available at a discounted rate of GBP 4 per guest per day

Rooms are available from 15:00 on the day of arrival but storage of luggage for those arriving earlier can be arranged.

Please note, check-in is strictly only available between 15:00 and 18:00. It is not possible to check-in after 18:00. Please note that the car park entrance has a height restriction of 7 feet (2.1 metres). Due to the style of the building, there are narrow and steep stairs leading to the top-floor rooms, and there is no lift at the property. Therefore it may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility. Children over the age of 16 can be accommodated, accompanied by an adult. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Located in North Drive, right on Great Yarmouth’s seafront, Swiss Cottage is just a few hundred metres from the shoreline. This period accommodation is ideal for a restful break, as it is slightly away from the main Golden Mile, yet within a 10 or 15-minute stroll of all the town’s entertainment. The main market shopping area is around 20 minutes' walk away.

With the bed and breakfast as a comfortable base, you can explore all that Great Yarmouth has to offer, including the Pleasure Beach, Britannia Pier, Great Yarmouth Potteries, Wellington Pier and Merrivale Model Village.

There are plenty of activities to enjoy in the area surrounding the hotel, including Karting 2000, Amazonia - World of Reptiles, Hippodrome Circus and the Sea Life Centre. You could catch a film at the town’s Hollywood cinema or visit Great Yarmouth Racecourse or Great Yarmouth Stadium.

There are plenty of museums in the area, providing a fascinating insight into the region’s history. Nearby historical attractions include Yesterday's World, the Tide and Time Museum, the Nelson Museum and Nelson's Monument. Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens and Caister Life Boat are also well worth a visit.

The convenient location also makes Swiss Cottage a good base from which to explore the North Norfolk coast and the Broads. Breydon Water is also within easy reach.

All rooms are en suite and some enjoy splendid views across the Water Gardens and Dunes to the shore beyond.

By Train:
The nearest station is Great Yarmouth Vauxhall Station (1.3 km away). A number of local taxis firms are available to get you to Swiss Cottage Hotel Bed and Breakfast.

By Car:
From either the A12 or the A47:
- Join the A149 Acle New Road.
- Travel over the bridge to the main roundabout where you will see Staples store on the right.
- Take the first exit, left, onto Lawn Avenue (still A149) heading towards Caister.
- Follow the road up to the first set of traffic lights beside the Blue Bus Company and turn right into Northgate Street.
- Take the first left turn into Salisbury Road and follow this until you reach the T-junction at the main promenade road, North Drive.
- Turn right and follow the road for around 400 metres and you will see Swiss Cottage sign on your right.
- Take the next turning on the right to get to the car park.
