I cannot fault this at all. I was late, very late, way after their reception closed but the receptionist stayed for me without any complaint and was more than helpful. The rooms are unusual in their decor but very comfortable and well sound-proofed. What more do you need. I have said it all the last time when I dipped out. Tried hard to get here earlier but literally turned up as the restaurant closed. But as before they did not mind, I got to eat and the food was superb. Bliss.
all reviews » I stayed at Blackwells with some work colleagues and clients and found the rooms, restaurant and bar excellent. The food and service were also very good indeed and I would use Blackwells again for business. clever decorating in rooms; very clean; staff incredibly helpful - went to an immense amount of trouble to provide my wife with something extra for breakfast as she doesn't eat 'traditional english'. Restaurant and food were excellent. Staff efficient and friendly. Gluten free/dairy menu provided for dinner. we loved the decor (which was unique and the room was nicely decorated and comfortable. We had an excellent stay and a very comfy room.Did not have dinner in the Restaurant but had a full english breakfast on sunday which was very good. Very friendly helpfull and recommended. Homely, comfortable, nice location. The staff were friendly and helpful especially accommodating over early breakfast time requirement. Nice 'steak night' evening meal. I was disappointed that there was no soya milk or gluten free bread available at breakfast. No bad comments. Some noisy guests late at night. I had to buy and supply my own gluten free bread. Nothing, everything was great. Nothing. Nothing. unable to obtain either TV or Wi Fi signal. Noisy night, but when mentioned this on departure they were so disappointed to hear this they didn't charge us for breakfast!.
