Nice hotel , well located in beyazit area , only few steps from tramway station and from grand bazar , very clean , friendly staff , my special thanks to the general manager Mr Levent , Miss Ebru at the front desk , for being kind and helpful . If I didn't mention all the names , it's only because I didn't have the opportunity to ask about their names , in fact everybody in Victory hotel was kind , helpful , doing his/her job in total discretion. all reviews » The service was wonderful. I had originally booked a standard single room, but the front office chief, Guven, offered me a corner suite when I arrived. The room had a mini bar, very comfortable large bed, and fashionable wooden decorations. The suite room was five-star class clean, spacious, and definitely the best room I stayed in during my whole trip in Turkey, and I couldn't be more thankful! Also, the hotel is easily accessible as it is only a few minutes walk along the main road from the t. The location is perfect for visiting the main attractions in Sultanahmet on foot. Tram (Beyazit) was less than 100m away. Hotel really new or newly refurbished, so everything worked in the rooms, spa, etc. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Spa totally new, and staff were especially helpful and welcoming - I'd return purely on the strength of the people in the spa, they were great. The best thing about the hotel was its location! The grand bazaar was near and topkapi palace and other touristic areas. Also a good thing that hotel has a spa so u can use sauna, swimming pool and have a Turkish hammam. The room was small but clean and I loved the mattress was very comfortable to sleep on and blanket kept me warm in the cold october weather . Staff is awsome and the place is nice but when I arrived even if I booked in advance there was no place for me and instead they put in an awful horel where I was disrepected and the place was dirty and everything very bad.They tried to compansate after with a better ro what was really kind but I suggest that this spare hotel should never be used again!!. The willingness of the Manager Mr cevan to upgrade my room the next day when the room I booked and paid for was not available. The room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. The location was excellent as a Muslim the proximity to the Mosque was a real bonus The breakfast staff was always very obliging always willing to go the extra mile. Excellent hotel in a superb location in the old part of the city. Very clean, very comfortable, and extremely well refurbished with good quality fixtures and fittings. If the female staff in the restaurant would have been a little more friendly I would have given an "excellent" on that rating also. The hotel is new and stylish. The location is also super! I was surprised that the hotel's owner prohibits serving alcoholic drinks (even beer) in the hotel's bar and minibars in the rooms. Not typical for hotels but I liked such attitide!. Our 5 girls booked 3 rooms from letsbookhotel.com and lucky been upgraded to bigger rooms with window view. The hotel is very very close to the grant barzar in the old city of istanbul, very good place for shopping. The hotel looks great. We had a very nice room. Access to the pool and spa was a nice plus. Rooms a little small, but not really an important point, as we didn't spend much time there other than sleeping; not great sound proofing inside the hotel (you can hear people in the corridors, and next-door rooms too clearly), yet the double-glazed windows totally blocked out the busy/noisy street-noise. What I didn't like was bad sound isolation! I could hear other people as they were next to me. Not sure of what walls made of! Also the breakfast wasn't really that great cuz every day the food was the same. Staff and localization. The receptionist on duty when we arrived Mr Oral was rather arrogant and seemed unaware of our arrival. In fact my room I reserved was not available. The indoor pool was NOT heated. I had to pay extra when I ordered an omelette at breakfast. Complimentary toiletries was sparse. Pool/Spa facilities are closed on Sundays.. what a disappointment especially for those who stay only a couple of days. We had some communication difficulties with the staff at the spa. They don't speak English very good but in the end we managed. Just the single key policy. We had two rooms, so I used the second room's key to kep my camera charging when we leave. With the windows open it was noisy but the windows closed it was reasonable. With all the mosques around the call to prayer started around 4 am. No View of Marmara or Bozphorus which was acceptable to me. Generally staff was good.However the young guy at reception was not always very accommodating. We booked a room with a balcony which we thought we could sit out on however it was only a " Juliet style". Walls very thin and we could hear EVERYTHING from the adjacent room. It will be more comfortable to get hotel information booklet in a room: reception, etc phone numbers, spa/massage working hours and price list, info on hotel services: E.G. info on laundry and other services. The mini bar can include beer or vine. The toiletries provided in the rooms were lacking. The rooms smelt like cigarette smoke. It is also across from a mosque which provides a lovely view but at 4am every morning there is a loud pray on the speakers and the hotel walls and windows don't block out any sound, which also makes the traffic from the street pretty annoying if you're trying to get sleep. The doors of each hotel room also slam pretty loudly when the doors close so there's constant banging from the people coming and going. Having to wear a shower cap in the pool. The breakfast food was not that great. Paying for the instant coffee sachets in the room. Unmarried couples can't stay there. The breakfast not enough fruit, no natural juice, has to pay extra for orange juice, too many vegetables all together very borring. Noise doors when close, you heard close from 6 am from neighbour rooms. Breafast with large offer, but low quality. the rooms are noisy, you can hear the corridor and other room TV. Room too small. No chair to sit on or put clothes on. No outside window so no natural daylight or sunlight into the room. Noisy air-conditioning. Any recommendation would be qualified. We thought the room was expensive for what it was. skimpy breakfast. The traffic noise in the morning in my room wasn't so good. Very bad wifi, staff is OK but always trying to sell a tour rather than suggest other alternatives. Economy rooms are quite small. The bedroom was a bit warm and the air conditioner did not work. The window opened up to inside corridor of the building but did not provide any cool air. Airco-disfunction (leaking lots of water), no view from the window, silly ruels: swimming cap (condom on your head 15tl), you have to cover yourself with towels around you in the finnish dry sauna. So it was soaking wet and therefore misty, too hot and uncomfortable. The room was lovely the only thing wrong was the noise that came through the wall when our neighbors t v was on this was the only complaint we had. you hear passage of water of near room. Seen the water before the breakfast time got lowpressure and there is some bad smell in the bathroom the same in the two room I reserved. Pool was not heated Floors weren't cleaned Problems with some things in the room (the safe kept breaking) Not worth $200 No window view. nothing. Nothing to add. Though we asked for early check-in and were told that it is possible, we checked only in standard time 14:00. It was not very fine after a night flight. Size of the room... not too much space.. I think the breakfast could be much better..
