I have stayed in many hotels all over the world as i travel a lot. The most striking thing about this hotel is the friendly ,honest reception staff. They were not at all money oriented trying to promote their hotel stuff like other hotels. Infact, they were giving a true picture about how one can save money during sight-seeing in Istanbul which as a tourist i reallyappreciated. I would recommend this hotel to all tourists. Rooms are also spacious. Big rooms And helpful staff. "Il patio" mentioned in the description of the room is just a tiny ordinary balcony. Just mistaken expectations. Disco bar nearby with an extremely loud music is working from 00:00 till 3:00am, followed by the Islam songs. So you can sleep only after it. Tv channels don't work. But we didn't really need the tv, because we came for travelling, not tv. Taxi driver found it difficult to find. A bit noisy on Saturday evening from neighborhood party; steep climb to the square... Noise from room above late at night. Steepy road to Taksim square. Breakfast is little poor. Kitchen facilities were not enough at all. Not attractive view at all. Surrounding noises easily heard from the room. If your privacy is really important for you, ask for rooms on 3rd floors and up. Not suitable for elderly people as it is located down of a very steep street. For a family with 3 young children stay away , noisy construction nearby also rooms and no free parking with tight roads. Very bad location, staff has poor information.
