This is the eighth time we have stayed at the Grand S. It is our favorite "layover" stop when passing through Istanbul. The location is perfect. The Metro connects the airport to the Buyuk Otogar (main bus staion) just across the highway. The breakfast is excellent and the rooms spotless. On our last visit the air conditioning was down and we left a bit grumpy. They have it working again, so I strongly recommend the Grand S for travelers. We have already booked our next stay there.
all reviews » All staff at the Hotel were helpful and courteous. I was greeted you arrival and the bellboy made sure I settled into the room by showing me how the tv and wifi worked. Breakfast was a very varied buffet and very enjoyable. Comfortable room with wifi and satellite tv and heating which was lovely as it was snowing outside on my last 2 days. I would stay here again. The staff was very helpful, nice hotel with good program inside if you planing to stay all day there! You will not be said! Some staff on reception, and also gays who working to help you to open the door to your car, to parking you car so then they help you to not trash your time on this... also room service are very fast and helpful! I will come again for a sure!. Morning front desk personnel simply fantastic, helpfull, caring, professional, couldn't be better. Nice breakfast, great spa, sauna, fitness center. Thank you so very much for the great stay you provided me.. We have stayed at the Grand S nine times. It has a great location near the big bus station and metro, with easy metro access to the airport. However, lately its quality has diminished greatly. We love the location and stay here every year as we pass to and fro through Istanbul. In the past it has been first class. It still is -- except for the faulty air conditining. ıTs vary good hotel and ı devıs anyone to stay ın thıs hotel. Good services. :). The air conditioning often goes off for an hour or so, but this does not present a problem. On our last trip it was down for most of two days, which was uncomfortable. However, they now has it fixed and on this trip it worked 100% of the time. There is absolutely nothing else negative to say about the Grand S. We have already booked our room for the end of September. I didn't like because location of hotel is near to highway and it's very loud if you want to open your window! If you come with a car, be ready that your car will be full with dust because cars who constantly pass! Evening is a bit better!. N/A. The air conditioning was not working again -- this is three out of the last four times. The breakfast (which used to be great) was worse than mediocre. I am not sure why this is happening, but the Grand S is definitely no longer worth the money. Last year the air conditioning was intermittent and barely acceptible. This year it was even more intermittent, and definitely not acceptible. Sometimes our room would get down to 76 degrees, but mostly was in the mid to high 80s. Since our room faced the sun, opening the window was no help. I would not recommend the Grand s anymore until the air conditining is fixed. I felt I paid a healthy price for a good room; I felt cheated when the staff would just shrug their shoulders. ıTs about many ıts very acsbansve. Location. Stayed here previously, but the room we had this time was not up to standard. Could not use shower as there was no holder on wall to house the shower head, no extractor fan in bathoom which is not acceptable, shortage of pillows. We did report these to reception the following morning but they did not seem intersted. So will think twice about staying there again. All most no. Noise noise noise noise!!!!!.
