Ufuk Hotel Pension is situated just 3 minutes away from the centre of the Göreme village. Inspire yourself with the beautiful surroundings of the hills and mountain cones. There are a couple of rooms for budget travellers with shared facilities. All accommodations have hot water and central heating through the winter months. From the terrace and restaurant, there are views over the village and towards Cavusin and Avanos. Enjoy the panoramic sights while eating the good food which is rapidly prepared for you. Waking up early at Ufuk pension, you can take a walk up the road towards the Open-air Museum, just 800 metres away. You can also go on a hike into Rose Valley or the Valley of Swords. Daily tours and hot-air balloon rides are also available. Free private parking is possible on site and there is free Wi-Fi in public areas.

The great thing about this quaint little hotel is the people (and pet animal) working there. The owner, Orhan was very helpful but also a little bit cheeky (the good way!!). His assistant, Furkhan was very welcoming and polite. He prepared us very good omelette for breakfast every morning and always offered us drinks whenever we were at the common area. The last night we were there he even cooked us popcorn. We really enjoyed his company and appreciate his willingness to teach us Turkish while .

It is easy to find and everyone in Goreme knows where it is. It has a very pretty terrace for eating breakfasts. The food is typically Turkish and always fresh and tasty. The cave rooms are fun and worth a try. Orhan booked our excursions - Green Tour, balloon ride, Whirling diverse show and they all turned out really well. Very kind staff (Ohran & Ahmet will guide you in discovering cappadocia) and nice position and atmosphere, lots of seats and possibility to use all the open/common spaces of the pension. Staff was very helpful. Thanks to Orhan for arranging the best sightseeing for us within the limited time. Location is very good. You don't need to climb up and down to visit main market. Orhan the troglodyte and part time pigeon house keeper was knowledgeable and very helpful. The first accomodation in "cave", so we asked another one on first floor with shared balcony, more light and chance to breath fresh air :). Nothing. nothing. No airconditioning in the room and I wasn't aware. Mind your head when leaving WC (door just 150 cm.).
