Outrigger was definitely the best hotel we've stayed at in Thailand. Since the moment the hotel was revealed to my eyes from far away by long tail boat, my breathe was taken and it was hard to readjust. Approximately 1km spread with coconut trees white sand crystal water (although it is tiding down afternoon), 4 restaurants, huge amazing pool including inside bar. We came for our honeymoon and this is by far the most suitable hotel for that purpose, surrounded by peaceful couples. The rooms are.

Indeed they did - it was nice not to have to repeat all the allergies and they were all very thorough. The property, bungalow, pool and restaurants were all great. Maybe the best hotel on the island, suitable for honeymoon. somehow too comercial but phi phi is all like that. Very beautiful and long beach, perfect for swimming, gaining depth gradually. Big pool with jacuzzi. i visit this resort from 2006 the place is breathtaken with beautifull bangalos so peacefull and quiet friendlyness staff quality of the food very yummy i wish if ther is a special booth for plane ticket and transportation by hotel fairy to phuket see u in august love u all. Location, serenity of the place and value of money. Few minuses you should be aware of: the mosquitoes were a huge burden, especially in the room. It would be helpful if the staff making up the room will spray it prior to guest arrival. Same case in the reception and restaurants, especially in Reun Thai restaurant up on the hill where we found our-self leaving after half an hour due to bites. Another issue is the hungry birds reaching your table during breakfast. I think that solving those 2 items will make this hotel more than perfect. The hotel should really include the transfer to/from the hotel in the room rate. There is really no other way of getting to the resort without getting on a long tail boat so why hassle your guests with another (roughly) 7USD per person. The perception that the transfer is "free" will go a long way. somehow too comercial and supeficial for me, access actually only by boat from the main pier and the longtail boat trip not offered by the hotel, you need to pay for it separately but as it runs at specific hours the price is less than if you would rent a boat for yourself, which can be quite costely if you need it late in the evening. ther has been changes with most of the staff thay dont speak english especially in the restaurant the dinner so special was the buffet and its variety now is only menue the cleaning in the room is not like before which was twice aday the gift shop is highly over priced. Although staff was very friendly and they get English lessons twice a week, their English and therefore the communication was pretty tough. Prices are pretty high for Thai standards especially. Although you get a lot in return as well, I think it is sometimes a bit too expensive (in the village behind te resort, prices are at least 60% cheaper). Having said that I would still go back and recommend te place! You get what you pay for, it is a full experience!. nothing. Perhaps you should make it more clear on your website that there is no wifi in the rooms. I understand why this is, however I recommend making this a little more obvious on your website due to some people's reliance on technology for business whilst on holidays!. The resort was very secluded and you had to get a long tail boat to ko phi phi if you wanted to go to somewhere more busy. This was quite expensive as they charge around 100 baht if two of you need a boat. However we were happy to stay at the resort and not venture here. Coconut bar and grill resturant, staff need further training as out meal we ordered was wrong. Drinks order was placed and had to ask twice for them as they didn't arrive. Our room was miles away from the main complex, although the place was extremely quiet. Leaving. breakfast is not so good. Needed waiters at the pool and more loungers. I can only imagine how busy the pool loungers must be in high season if this was low season :-). Whilst we know we abroad and English is not the staffs first language, the language barrier was greater here than at other hotels we have stayed at afterwards. The room is good but not as nice as the rest of the hotel´s facilities. Nothing. No playground or playroom for the kids. The villa 360 on going civil work close to the resort... Didn't like the fact we had to leave. Communication was difficult with some staff members due to lack of English proficiency. Reception staff is not too friendly, food variety at the various restaurants was not that great. The design of the room a bit dated and need to be rethink for practicality. nothing really , but prices of food at Coconut Restaurant quite expensive , menu small . Other restaurant by pool closed for renovations . Wine prices at restaurants very high , wine by the glass also portion served small. No good white Sauvignon Blanc wines on offer - all Chardonnay being offered only . only thing is the room a little far from the beach and lobby . A little far from town, have to pay 200 B/person for longtail boat from Tonsai to hotel, it should be free. Food - particularly breakfast was very bad Low English speaking staff. Too many young children, with not enough to do. No water sports, ie sailing etc. No ceiling fan in rooms, forcing you to have the AC on all night. Internet only in public areas. Mosquitos,but those are all over the island :). Staff were hit and miss. The reception welcoming staff were great, however at the various bars were not very friendly at all. That we stayed 3 nights only. Isolated, which is good if you don't want to do anything but stay at the hotel. Otherwise it can be quite difficult to get around, long boats are only option and can be quite expensive as there is no competition there. Can´t be alone on a honeymoon´s haven. Distance from main port on the Island, should have been easier to get back&forth between the hotel and town- more regular boats between these Places. Also having to pay 200bath each person for the boat each way at arrival/departure should be included in the hotelprice- it is expensive enough as is. Third- the housing for the employees is a disgrace- I jogged around the area, and it is absolutely disgusting 5min away/behind the hotel. Staff wasn't very helpful and they certainly don't believe that Thailand has anything to do with the "land of smiles". Most of them are really basic at their english language, so get prepared to get the wrong food, wrong drinks, and cross your fingers that you don't have any problems at the hotel because they won't understand you and won't be able to help. Food is expensive, gym is a joke, Staff doesn't know English , If you want to extend the stay they tell you to do it thru letsbookhotel.com because they can't offer the same price and they can tell you the hotel is full even though you can book thru the internet. As said here before there is a village behind with nice restaurant which they don't tell you about. But if you read this you can be ready and enjoy it very much. It was too far from the center of koh phi phi, which was only accessible at certain times via expensive boat transfer, charged at 200 baht per person per trip. Having to leave!. Evening meals got a bit repetitive Food not always hot. Near the hotel beach there are very few fishes to do snorkel. Location may far from other places and it takes 200 THB to take the long tail boat, It should be free. The price (but the staff gives adivces like booking on website to have cheaper price) They try to hide the little village in the back of the resort to make their business more important. But go in this village it's way more authentic!. cant'think of anything I didn't like We were not met at the airport but apologies and an upgrade for the return journey sorted that. It did have more accommodation than I had thought so I would not recommend it in high season. Difficult to reach the town (Tonsai Beach). Far away from the village (1h). Busy pool area, prices of food and drinks are quite expensive.

The resort provides transfer service to and from Phuket International Airport or any hotel on Phuket Island to the pier. The ride takes approximately 30-45 minutes.

The resort also provides transfer service to and from Krabi International Airport or any hotel in Krabi to the pier. The ride takes about 30-45 minutes.

Important information to guests

The resort offers a chargeable private speedboat or private catamaran from Phuket (75 minutes). Both airport and hotel transfers are included in this transfer service. Flight arrivals should be at least 2 hours prior to the boat departure time. Hotel transfers within Phuket must be confirmed 24 hours in advanced. Guests who are interested in using the service can contact the resort directly. Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation. Departure times from 1 October - 31 May: - Ao Po Grand Marina (Phuket) to the resort: 11:30 and 16:00 hrs. - Resort to Ao Po Grand Marina (Phuket): 08:30 and 14:00 hrs. Departure times from 1 June - 30 September: - Ao Po Grand Marina (Phuket) to the resort: 11:30 hrs. - Resort to Ao Po Grand Marina (Phuket): 14:00 hrs. The resort can be reached by a public ferry from Phuket to Tonsai Pier (within 2 hrs.) and then a local public long-tail boat to the resort (20 minutes). ================== Please be informed that renovation works are taking place throughout the resort during 1 June to 31 October 2016.
