The rooms were fantastic and had alot of privacy. We had the standard chalet with a garden view which had a balcony also. The staff were so helpful and friendly and offered their advice before we went on trips.There was a variety for breakfast to choose from and the main meals were brilliant! The pool was nice but even in low season they ran out of sun loungers which was a problem. The beach is at the back of the resort only 3 minute walk. The wifi was great and we even got our laundry done whi.
all reviews » This hotel was very good in terms of staff, facilities, cleanliness, comfort, value for money and location, The two elderly ladies who were probably the owners were very courteous and kept track of all the guests personally on a daily basis during our stay. Though the in-house restaurant was closed during our stay we did enjoy a good breakfast every morning, which was included in the tariff. The staff also helped us with information on and booking of local tours and hiring scooters. Very hard to criticise this place. Great location, lovely room, new, clean, comfortable, and great staff. It's owned by three Thai sisters in their autumn years who speak fluent English. They're incredibly helpful and friendly and willing to give advice about local attractions, how much to pay the taxi driver, and good places to eat. They organised motorbikes for us with the minimum of fuss and at a very fair price. Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere and lovely staff. Lovely place that was quiet and relaxing. Beach is about 5 min walk from the chalet but it was not too crowded and we were able to enjoy a few quiet and even romantic walks. As certain parts of the beach are quite dark, we were able to see many stars at night too. The staff were also very hospitable and helpful. Good place to stay if you are looking for a holiday to just rest and relax. It is a really nice place, after touring Koh Lanta all over we decided that this was one of the best locations and really one of the nicer hotels at an affordable price. The staff were extremely nice and very helpful. They have one of the best Thai restaurants just down the beach (Lym's Rice Bowl), great breakfast, nice rooms, very good size. Prefect location: green area around, 3min walk to beautiful Long beach, restaurants and bars, minimart nearby. Very clean bungalows, comfortable beds, nice room service. They also provide a breakfast and have a parking lot onsite. We will recommend Long Beach Chalet for romantic gateaway and relaxing vacation. Everything was lovely! The banglows, swimming pool, garden, restaurant, etc. The mosquito net was very helpful. Sorry forgot to leave tips for the cleanning lady for our last day. She did a great job though. Extremely high value for money. You stay in a tropical natural environment, so don't expect too much. We love the bungalows, very clean, modern, good size, nice balcony, air- conditioning and private hammock area. The pool is great and the beach only a short path away. Breakfast is good and most of the staff very helpful and friendly. It's very quiet at night. Wifi excellent. It's indeed a good place to stay in Koh Lanta, even if the southern part of the island has better beaches (at least in low season). The Superior Chalet is spacious and comfortable and the rates in August are really cheap!. We've spent one week Long Beach Chalet. The location is wonderful, so peaceful, 200m from beautiful beach, nice pool, excellent staff, nice breakfast, plenty of thai restaurants on the beach, what else can you ask for?. The huts are designed very well, lifted up on piloti with a chill out area below - including a hammock. Lifting them off the ground also heavily reduces the bugs that may wander though, which meant a lot to my gf. Excellent location - just a couple of minutes from Long Beach -the best beach on Ko Lanta. Nice chalets, nice swimming pool, very good breakfast at Three Mums restaurant. Staff is really helpful. The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Facilities were adequate for the star rating. Food good and tv channel selection was good for uk people. The chalet close to the pool and the beach. Restaurant in front of the hotel. Quiet place! You can rent a motobyque and old town is close! They can arrange tours in a good price!. The beach is not crowded at all. Pool and rooms were nice. Really large rooms. They were clean. Good breakfast. At low season, there aren't many shops/ restaurants open but that's no fault of the resort. They did everything they could for us. The only problem we faced was related to overcharging our stay by one day, which probably was a mistake and an extra 3% on the bill when we paid by credit card, though the booking confirmation note did not mention that this charge was applicable. Mosquitoes, but I guess it's unevitable given the climate. Be sure to bring along insect repellant!. The only problem is hut number 1 for anyone who is not used to traffic, because it is very close to the main road and does get very loud. However, when we complained about it we got upgraded for one night to a bigger bungalow and another night they moved us down to a ungalow furthest from the road. So just make sure to ask not to be in number 1 when you book. Beach in "low season" isn't very good for swimming. Nicest beaches are on the southside of Koh Lanta. A bit far away, especially in low season when there is not much transportation. It took us 30 minutes to walk home at 10pm after dinner because we couldnt get a tuktuk. The restaurant that belongs to the resort could be a bit cheaper. nothing. The only one thing that was almost annoying was that the fridge power goes out when you take your key from the slot in the room. We expected more from a hotel rated 8.7 by letsbookhotel.com. Our opinion may be biased by the low season down sides, obviously not due to the hotel (dirty sea, area too quiet at night and very limited offer of services). Absolutely nothing. pool was very small, if the resort had been really busy it wouldn't have been swimmable, but the beach is only 100m away... The hotel is excellent, but just to write something - it takes hours for the air-con to chill the room as it is chalet, with slashes in the floor :). 10 min walk from the nearest entertainment places but if you don't mind a walk then it's fine. Some of the stuck up European guests. Bit of a long walk to the beach The beach facilities were not really operating and let the Chalet area down whilst we were there in November 2012. Separate bathroom and bedroom but not serious. Having to leave. nothing. koh lanta island, specially off season, is not a party place, takes time to go from one place to another. but still really good to relax. know where you go ;). everithing is good!. Nothing bad. Nothing much except for the mosquitoes, but that's because we are near to nature!. Nothing, only that I had to leave the place. However, the surrounding areas could use some updating. Breakfast service was rather inefficient. Hard beds No mats on sun chairs by the pool No mats on balcony chairs in my room who sits on bean bag chairs, get Better chairs for the room. If you need silence, this hotel is not your choice because of situation next to a noisy road. Sometimes local people produce a lot of smoke near hotel, so the smell of smoke is usual here. Breakfasts are only egg-based. Staff were not that friendly, did not serve food in the restaurant during the day and at night had no choice of what to eat just one dish was cooked, when we requested a motorbike for the night they said the keys were ''gone'' and yet had been renting them out all day. Not the best place on Lanta. They messed up our reservation even though we booked 4 months in advance. Staff was unapologetic. Our shower didn't work on the first night. We told the manager and he said he would fix it but he didn't! We went back half an hour later and the reception was closed. We were left without being able to shower - and it was our first night after traveling to Koh Lanta all day! The road to the beach was unpaved and unlit.
