The bungalows are fantastic and if you ask for it you can get one with sea views. This is a very quiet and relaxing place to stay by the beach, the bit right by the complex has a bit of rocks in there but you can get to a place without rocks in 2 minutes. The beach is really long, quiet and not crowded at all, beautiful sunsets to be seen, I just loved this place. Within Marina Lanta resort there is Marina restaurant, the couple who runs it is just amazing, and the food is really simple, cheap.
all reviews » We stayed in 6 different hotels in Thailand! This was by far the best. Booked for 1 night stayed for 5! Stunning Bungalows, with a hammock on the balcony near the Beach, I read a review sating it was to far from a nice beach which is crazy! Your on the beach front in Minutes. Yes you had the odd lizard in your room but its all part of the Charm and for the Price you cant really complain. The Manager was amazing! She was so helpful anything we needed she sorted it out instantly, I have never met. The staff was super nice! Ea At reception was great and we had a great lot of fun with Mod who works in the restaurant. The food is great! They understood my vegetarian diet really well and they have a great dish with vegetables from the oven. The bungalows are spacious and very romantic. I would love to return some time. Very friendly staff, cozy thai-stylized bungalows, the needed minimum for living, budget-friendly and tasty dishes at the restaraunt, beautiful nature, the host of the hotel Ea is a wonderful young man who triues to do all the best for his clients. Our host Ea was super helpful and so nice!! Everything was perfect! The bungalow is super comfortable, clean and spacious. The food in the restaurant straight at the beach is amazing!. Staff is very friendly. They help you with everything! Rented motorbikes are in good conditions! The bungalows are so clean and beautiful. You are in paradise there!. I stayed here for 3 nights with my boyfriend. The location is perfect - right on the beach. It is very quiet & chilled. Hammock on the balcony. The restaurant is right on the beach and stays open until around 12:00am so you can buy beers & drink them on the beach or on your balcony. We rented a motorbike for 200baht a day and drove around the whole island. There are some lovely secluded beaches to see! The French bakery on the main road is lovely too!. Nice room. Saturdays night only there is a party in a bar next to the Bungalows, we were really unlucky and spent the whole night without being able to sleep. If you going to spend the Saturday night there, get ear plugs, you'll need them! Don't let the Saturday nights put you off, all you can hear in there the other nights are crickets singing away. There was nothing I didn't like. There were many rocks on the beach and it wasn't clean enough. Nothing :). There are bottles and other rubbish at the beach. But in a 10 min walk at the beach (to the right) you are at a very nice beach :) the staff will tell you!. I didn't expect the bungalows to be quite so basic. It is literally like a garden shed. There are gaps between the planks of wood and quite big gaps in the bathroom. The bed has a mosquito net which you really need! We had ants/cockroaches and a lizard in our room during our stay. It's fine though because the location makes up for it & it is really cheap! On a Saturday night there is a beach party & the music is so, so loud until around 4:30am. I would stay at this resort again though!. Mosquitos.
