The hotel enjoys an idyllic and quiet location above Wilderswil. It offers panoramic views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains and of Lake Brienz and features a heated outdoor pool. The Hotel Berghof Amaranth has a large terraced garden with a solar-heated pool (open mid-May to mid-September, weather permitting) and a children’s playground. There is a rich daily breakfast buffet. 4-course dinners are served in a cosy atmosphere. Vegetarian food is available on request. It takes you a 10- to 15-minute walk to reach the Wilderswil train station, from where you can catch a train to the Jungfrau mountain. Interlaken can easily reached by bus. You can get the free pass at the reception of the Berghof Amaranth. You can park your car for free on site and make use of free Wi-Fi internet access. An internet corner is also at your disposal.

The breakfast buffet was excellent! Hotel staff was very very friendly from the second we got there (very rare in Europe). I've lived in Europe a long time and have been to a million hotels and this has been one of the best stays I've had during a ski season. the family room was of a good size, beds were comfortable, view was great, morning breakfast was complete. great value for money.

You'll have to go well into Interlaken, or party up on the slopes. Looking for quiet, romantic nights? This is your place...It ia a pity the hotel did not have a restaurant for guests not on half board and we arrived late in the evening so it would have been nice to have a restaurant available. However there was another hotel close by where we could get a snack before bedtime. The hotel staff could have been slightly more friendly. They wouldn't let us sit anywhere for breakfast (their breakfast room was amazing, but they were overly restrictive with the tables at the window) and were always suspicious towards us. We needed to regularly state our room number to prove we were guests. They also tried to upcharge us after reserving a room on your site at a certain price. smoking inside the hotel and no free pick up service from station. The shampoo and the soap were very bad.Outdated, unattractive furniture in room; shower was in bedroom rather than in bathroom; room had feather beds even though I had specifically requested no feather beds due to allergies; my daughters were put in a room in the hotel's neighboring chalet instead of in main hotel with me. Little bit away from the centrum,. The official price of the room was 210SFR per day but using booking.com I got it for 220 SFR per day. 1. rooms were very hot so not comfortable 2. No room service. £. very expensive.

From the Interlaken Ost train station, there are regular connections to Wilderswil. From there, it is about a 20-minute walk to the hotel. From the Interlaken West train station, you can take the bus line 5 to the centre of Wilderswil. From there, it is a 5-minute walk to the hotel.

By plane:
The airports in Basle and Zurich are about 2 hours away by train, Geneva Airport a little longer.
