Great staff, very friendly. I was there on business and needed faxes sent to Geneva. They did this very professionally. Definitely a hotel for Business travellers to the area. Rooms are comfortable and have all good facilities. Breakfast is nice. The hotel is a short walk to the lake and town centre. Magnificient view of the lake from the terrace or from the lake-view rooms (it's worth upgrading to a lake-view room). Decent breakfast, but nothing extraordinary. Friendly staff. Perfect location if arriving by train.

Large airy room with view. As it was hot, you cannot leave the windows open due to mosquitoes, the fans are ok , but do make some noise. Aircon system would be great. It's located on a hill, so the walk back in the evening can be difficult! There is a cable car from the lake front to the station, but I don't think it operates 24 hours. When you go out the back of the hotel to eat outside, it was a bit confusing that there are two restaurant areas back there. The isolation between rooms is poor. The hotel obviously was renovated with style, but it is still an old building and isolation between rooms is not really efficient. You can hear your neighbours switching the light on and off, and all the other sounds of life.... ;-(. A house keeper opened the door and walked in the room when we were watching the tv in the morning at 9:00am. The room was a bit stuffy. Breakfast is a little overpriced. very hot room in the summer and no AC in the room I was in. The walk uphill from the old town. No soap dish in the bathroom Not enough variaty at breakfast. the staff at reception were not particularly friendly, the terrace very unwelcoming. Poor breakfast. Water system was'nt working one morning, even when working was hot then cold without alteration.
