Please read my comments very well and you will be satisfied. If you have a car, this hotel is the best, it's at the second side of the lake but amazing and the best view ever. Far 12-15 minuts by car from center of Lugano. Wonderful and well prepared for children, especially in spring/summer season. If you dont have a car, it's difficult to move without Taxis. So my advice, rent a car and chose this hotel. Near to Italian campione, take a free bike from the hotel and have a tour around While in.
all reviews » our kids enjoyed the swimming pool and i found the pool area to be very clean and well kept. We did not stay long enough (2 nights) to take advantage of the pingu/pinocchio facility but it was nice to have the option. The kitchen facility in the room was very useful and the beds provided for the children was just right. We found the breakfast buffet wonderful. A very good experience. The hotel has a very nice setting, friendly staff and the rooms seem huge (at least ours was!). Dinner at the restaurant was very nice, as was breakfast. Unfortunately we stayed only one night so didn't manage to see/use the facilities for the children (Pinocchio club) but the hotel seems to take good care of the kids. I loved the hotel. Excellent Family hotel. very nice kids club. excellent location with a great view. 15 min from Lugano, 15 min from Fox town, 5 min walk from the Casino :). V. good breakfast as well. Staff was nice. The staff were amazing...so friendly and helpful. HUGE indoor playroom (split in two for younger and older kids). Nice pool, shuttle boat to Lugano, great family rooms...all excellent!!. Excellent for family, lots of lake side activities all free of charge, excellent kids club and play yard. Free parking. Staff, children's facilities including child friendly restaurant right on the lake, room set up. The location and the surrounding area was fantastic . The playroom for kids is the star of the hotel for me. Keeps the children totally entertained. Just if you dont have a car, it will be difficult to move outside the hotel. Nothing we really didn't like, however i would say that the decor and air conditioning in the rooms need a little updating. We found the breakfast room to be very hot and humid so early in the morning, perhaps air conditioning here too could be improved? It was also a shame that you can't take an evening stroll from the hotel into the village. Nothing much. The exterior of the building has a 70s' look, but the interior has been re-done at some point but perhaps could benefit from a "refresh". Cost-wise, prices are a bit higher than I would like, but still they are better than other places in Switzerland. They can have change their beds to offer a king size one, vs. combining 2 beds. Also despite having a free Wifi the speed and connection is not good. Need a car if you want to go out for dinner at night (but there is a restaurant in the hotel that serves excellent food). Needs to add English language to hotel's printouts. The children's room doesn't have AC, and was hot and useless. Some of the swimming facilities in the lake are old and broken. Slightly dated but this doesn't actually matter!. The hotel is not so new and the design of the interior areas was old . Pillows too soft and mattress not firm enough.
