  The staff was incredibly accomodating and nice. Every effort was made to ensure your comfort and make you feel welcome. The hosts were gracious and stopped to speak with everyone at the facility. I've never met nicer hosts.

  We booked a room with lake view and balcony on the 3rd floor. The rooms are very comfortable although slightly dated but the view from the room/balcony was magnificent and this more than makes up for it. We thoroughly enjoyed being in Spiez, such a lovely place and a very good hotel. No noise from other guests and the marina quietens around 11pm (... what people say » with windows shut we heard nothing). We will definitely be returning here. To note, there is a bus which takes you from railway station to hotel, or i - Good location for access to the castle, ferry and walking trails along the lake. Fantastic views. Good Wi-Fi connection - Amazing view of Lake Thun and the surrounding countryside. The kitchen (cook) is amazing! We could have eaten all our meals there, had we never left the hotel. Obviously there is much to do in the area, and the hotel was centrally located to allow easy transportation into Thun or Interlaken. We'll be staying again-- even with three kids!
