It was my second time staying here and that says it all that I returned. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fine and all and all it is value for money. The location is close to shops and restaurants and it is also close to the beach not to mention only about twenty minutes from the airport. Good location! They gave us a room at 7 am, but we didn't book early check in! The breakfast was nice: egg, toast, cheese, fruits, tea or coffee).

Suresh, the staff at the reception, was very cordial, warm and hospitable. Always smiling, he was very cooperative. The air con was horrible, making ugly noise while turned on. As a three star hotel (?) the bath room should have more toiletries including good soaps. Room on main road was noisy. The Food no choices for Breakfast , No Hot water all time for shower,, only in the Morning, The Safebox very old style. liked everything. bad beach near hotel. Just 1plug in the room old staff member very pushy for tips - didt like it at all- breakfest empty at 9am with no refiling when it`s suppose to close at 10am- wifi not working in the room ac not good in 1 of the room we had - swimimgpool being used for grp lesson not by hotel guest. The hotel driver was disappointing - we asked for and he confirmed air conditioned van but refused to turn it on. Also refused to use Express way to Hikkaduwa adding a lot of time to travel with small child. VERY DISSAPOINTED. Old fashioned rooms. 1)We killed a huge roach in the otherwise clean "kitchen" area of our room. 2)The public are mostly retired europeans (but there are some clubs nearby if you want fun) 3)Beach (across the road) is no good. Dirty sand because of the fishing boats. No sunbeds except in some small areas of the beach. Room and bath are old. Breakfast was not that good but ok. Moskito infested but this is the case with most hotels in Colombo. Very old and in dire need of updating. No blankets just bed sheets. Bathroom looks shady. Breakfast was not that good. Overall ok for an overnight if you are arriving late but not for extended stay. Basic furniture, no shover curtain. Wouldn't stay here if a longer stay was intended. Over priced, very a average food, a lot of things didn't work properly - a/c, Internet, water. Swimming lessons going on in the pool. Wifi week no tv. Rooms were very low standard. The bathroom had no shower-curtain and the furniture was falling apart. Sttaf are very noisy they call alot, room is very dirty it must be 1 star hotel the value of money Unacceptable, poor sevice I really didn't like it.
