We stayed at this hotel for last three nights before leaving the Sri- Lanka. As we have already visited all planned places of interest, we only needed a calm relaxing stay near the ocean. The rooms are large enough, well furnitured and clean. Though most of facilities looks used and are asking for update, everything works perfectly: a/c, fan, TV, shower etc. The restaurant has a good variety of dishes in the menu, buffet breakfast offers nice choice of food too. But what really impressed us was.
all reviews » Loved our stay here. The pool is clean. The bar has cold beer and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. The buffet breakfast is great. The staff were friendly and helpful.The rooms good, but we had little hot water if any some days. It is easy to get about Negombo with the many tuk tuks. Some good restaurants close by. I would recommend this hotel. Room with equipment - bed - balcony - fridge - coffeebar very good. Staff attendent and friendly. Pool and surroundings nice and clean. WLAN not quick but nicely working without additional costs. View from the 3rd floor is very good . Near to the airport . Excellent guide given by them with a car . Driver name is raghu. He know all the key places very well his number 0777210838. I like everything, in particular the quiet ambience and the green environment right on the beach. Just the type of hotel to expend a relaxing holiday, a real "paradise"!. The beachfront view was excellent and the staff was really humble and friendly. But due to heavy rain the roof was leaking that should be fixed!. Great location near the airport which is only 20 minutes away, good food, right next to the beach and excellent pools at the hotel itself. super location on the beach, very friendly staff, bedroom and bathroom comfortable, nice food, lots of shops and restaurants around. Basically everything was ok - but just ok. near airport, many shops nearby. Good food selection. Pool. Location. asked for A hairdryer and recived it before back in the room, less than 2 mins. We liked that it was so close to the beach and breakfast was good. Location. Location. Prices on the menu do not include vat and service charge, so the bill 'total' will be 22% (12%+10%) higher than simple sum. Too many crows, which will come into your room and steal food if you don't close the door. The hawkers waiting for you as soon as you go onto the beach. Thousands of crows around the hotel (garden-pool-balcony) are too much. They came also into the room, taking away nuts etc. Buffet low quality but sufficient. Telephone numbers are available only after request. A list in the room would be helpful and one can not understand that this is not yet done!!!! The ambient of the sea pirat is not really inhospital because of his skulls and crossbones / flags etc. Dont have private beach many outsiders and hawkers at the beach in afternoon. The hotel is getting very old but the director told me that it will be fully renovated from next April. everything was pleasant. Decor feels dated. No free water in rooms. The whole resort is a bit tired as is the area of Negombo. If you want to be picky the building is dated but far outweighed by proximity to airport we used it for start and finish to a Sri Lanka tour 20 mins to airport. nothing we disliked about the hotel. nothing. All good. Just be aware of the locals on the beach, they'll stalk u to buy some of their stuff!. No toileteries and no water in the room. Sometimes we suffered from the noise coming to the room from corridors. We missed any instruction how to call between rooms. The quality of food could be a bit better. Terribly dirty beach. Value for money is quite poor. breakfast is rather dull. Mosquitoes. Quality of food was poor. No hot water on arrival but they fixed it the following day. the staff where unattentive in the pool beach area, also beach was dirty. We didn't like upon arriving late in the night from Sydney, Australia there was no hot water to have a shower. The bathroom could have been cleaner. Too expensive for what you got. Bugs; Air cond and fan need to be maintained (it was impossible to get the right temperature); Provided towels are very poor quality (it is better to dry yourself with a piece of cloth); No blanket at all; over used pillow cases; very noisy from the corridor; the breakfast buffet was average. USD 80 a day which is way too high for this hotel. Staff were rude ans hotel have a policy were we cannot invite local friends to the room. Furniture's are old. Not am impressive hotel for the price paid. I checked out fret the first night. Jaded Decor Poor Air-conditioning Basic hospitality Very poor breakfast.
