Everything just wonderful. The rooms are in reality much better that they appear on the photos. Clean and huge, very original and stylish in its decoration, you will feel transported to the past. The hotel also has a nice, quiet and cozy garden area with a big swimming pool? The best of all was to have lunch by the swimming pool. The attention that you get from the owners is just in all ways the best. They do not hesitate in helping you with very good tips of where to go, inform you about all .
all reviews » One of the most delightful hotels we have stayed during our 20 years of traveling. It's like staying in a homely little castle - full of characters and warmth. The young couple owners put all their love and care in this jewel. Every corner is beautifully decorated, the room was lovely, bathroom was new and large. The husband is also the chef in the restaurant, excellent food we had there. Highly recommended. I was in Xerta for big cat fishing on the River Ebro, the hotel was very central to the local square, cafe and the slipway to launch our boat which was great. The biggest bonus was the freindly family atmosphere in the Casa Cermines. with Caterina and all the family being enthusiastic, freindly and really really helpful - This is a fantastic hotel run by a lovely family. Highly recommend. Exquisite historical rural location, family run, with genuine antique furnishings but very modern bathroom. Apparently King Alfonso 3rd stayed at this residence which dates back to the 17th century. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Grounds and pool were a hidden gem!. The pool is fantastic, and kept spotlessly clean, and so relaxing and tranquil with the beautiful surroundings - you would never believe that you are staying in the middle of the village. The proprietors are very kind and accommodating, and the hotel is very comfortable and clean. Amazing building. Beautiful, and grand. Restored well. Accomodating and generous owner who looked after me very well. Nice food, they asked me what I wanted and cooked it for me. Lovely garden and pool but unfortunately it ws raining so couldn't go outside. Modernista architecture is complemented by eclectic and quirky mix of antiques. Owners are a delightful couple who could not have been more helpful and hospitable. Garden and lagoon style swimming pool. Small friendly hotel - nothing too much trouble. Family run. The building has been restored to e very high standard in a traditional style. This is an authentic 18th century mansion, with 14 foot ceiling, fresco, stone arches - the real thing!. The one night stay including an evening meal was excellent. We were treated first class by the hosts. Service, position, pool & garden area, size of room, bathroom and general ambience. Old luxury of the whole hotel and friedship of the personnel. Food excellent. Building interesting historically. We missed slices of fresh fruit and fresh orange juice for breakfast. The church bell close-by disturbed my sleep. But it's not the hotel's fault!. nothing. Unfortunately, they had a problem with their boiler, and there was no hot water! However, the staff were very apologetic and gave us a gift of organic olive oil on our departure. Nothing!. Parking difficult and no one answered door and was standing in rain trying to get in. Xerta itself has little of interest for visitors Parking near hotel is limited. Positioned in the back streets, the location made access and parking difficult, but well worth the effort. Is is quote a challenge to find the place, even though the town of Xerta is very small. Very narrow roads and not great parking, but worth the hunt!. It's a shame the location is not a little more convenient as I'm sure this hotel would be permanently full. Would have preferred either a larger more comfortable bed or two small double beds ( Queen size) a little more lighting in the room would help.
