The people at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our booking and it was sorted in a very professional manner. The food was excellent. We had booked a table in two famous restaurants in Mallorca and the dinner at the hotel was better. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The location was peaceful and with nice views of the mountains and only 25 minutes from Palma and the airport. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, we had fresh flowers, free fruit and free .

The Hotel is very quiet, and there is a lot of history around the building . The dining was good, and the Spa a lot of fun. Location (beautiful scenery, quiet) Very nice rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff Spacious room. The Room had quite a lot of character but some minor details could be improved. Power of the shower could be better and the temperature of the water fluctuated. Wifi connexion was slow probably due to the fact that it is located by the mountains. Because the room door was very old (and beautiful) it didn't close perfectly and we could hear any noise outside the room. As with the majority of hotels-spa, in our opinion, the spa was average. Nothing important - we intend to visit again. Internal large spa pool could be heated to higher temperature though to be fair most people use outside pool. We were there in Orient Mon/Tue & only Resturant open was our hotel for evening meal. You can't walk to another eatery easily so you feel stuck there unless willing to travel by car. They no longer serve light lunches by the pool - I had to walk the 50 metres or so instead of lying on my sunbed. That our stay was not longer. We were dissapointed that having asked fro and booked for a room with a terrace or balcony we were given and inside room with just a window. The walls dividing the rooms are thin. We could hear our neighbor snore. Location is not great. Orient is around the corner but has nothing to offer but 2 restaurants. Other facilities are very far from the hotel. Breakfast finishing too early. Lots of windy roads to reach the hotel. Food. Quite shocked by the rooms, we looked at a few and all a little tired , although the best facilities, not a lot of light. Ours was a dark long semi- modern conversion, meant to be a luxury suite with terrace- no character - like an ikea mish-mash. I didn't see the waiter smile even once There are a lot of cyclist in the area and the hotel doesn't even own a pump! The kitchen doesn't open until 20:00 so getting a snack during the day is impossible. Food considered to be ready made and not freshly prepared Our room was in the lower part of the annexx and thus not well lit.

Travelling information

Leaving the airport heading towards Palma, take the exit indicating "Via Cintura - Andratx". Stay on the ring road until you see the exit indicating "Inca - Port D'alcudia" and take this exit. Stay on the motorway until you see the exit "Consell - Binissalem- Alaró" and take this exit.

Follow the signs to Alaró until you get to the village where you will see the signposts to Orient. The hotel L'Hermitage is about 1km before the village of Orient, on the right hand side.
