The Palacio de Mengibar is an excellent hotel, with great facilities (especially the spa) and wonderful food. It was a bit quiet when we were there but it had only been open 3 months. The town did not have much to offer but the hotel was extremely good,the service, the palace was lovely and the food was also very good.Areally wonderful building with excellent facilities. all reviews »
The only thing that worried me was the strong smell, especially at nighttime, of what to me seems like some type of chemical. I asked atreception about it and they said it was probably from the chemical plantnearby that uses residue etc from olives/olive oil to make otherproducts derived from this. To me it had the typical smell of an oilrefinery, but not of "olive oil".The restaurant could have been better.
