A fantastic hotel and good value for the money! We had a nice and spacious studio with a window partly facing the sea. Unfortunately there are no balconies but we could hear the waves at least. The street noise was not bad at all. Very clean bathroom. Good buffet breakfast. Fantastic and helpful staff. There are foreign TV-channels - if you have problems finding them, the staff will help. If you find the beds too hard, the hotel will give you an extra bed mattress. The closeness to the beach an.
all reviews » The location is very good, one minute from the Ocean side. The staff was helpful and informed us of several deals they had with nearby restaurants (E.G. 7.5 euros for a 3 course sea food dinner), even made a call to make reservations and gave us directions to get around the city. Nice restaurants and bars close to the hotel. The price was good and the room was big and comfortable. Free and well functioning wi-fi all over the hotel. The Canteras beach is just around the corner. It’s a good hotel, if you’d like to have both beach life and sightseeing of the town. We stayed two nights at the hotel and liked the large room, which also had a big fridge. The proximity to the beach and all the cafés and restaurant was great. It was the right place for us, although you need to catch a bus (number 1) to visit the old town. Good value for the price. The staff were very helpful and friendly and really compensated for all of the shortfalls of the hotel itself. The rooms were large and quite clean. The position of the hotel is also great: 1 minute away from the beach and 10 minutes away from the main bus hub in Las Palmas (St. Catalina Station). The breakfast selection was good and pretty diverse. Hotel is in the island center and too close to seaside. You can listen waves' voice if your window is open. It is at a long walk from night buses that go to the old city center (Vegueta). Breakfast room is small, the food has a limited range of options and is repetitive but fairly good. We stayed at the hotel in November, but it was quite hot and there isn’t any air condition. It was also quite noisy. There were no safe boxes in the rooms although tiny safes are available at the reception for a small fee. At times, especially at the lower floors, it might get quite noisy. Nothing, but it would have been nice to have a kettle in the room. The weather could have been better....... No negative comments. Very noisy street from early in the morning until well after midnight during May. At high season I imagine it would be worse. We would not go back because we couldn't sleep. Breakfast room not big enough for all guests but not really a problem. We had a room at the back - the building is triangular shaped - so no view, no light and no air..... breakfast room was a bit crowded. Parking is a real problem in this part of town. The area very noisy. Beds were a bit hard. 1. Too sound cafe on the street at night 2. There were some difficulties with the Internet acsess ( I think in such a case it is necessary to have an agreement with reserve provider: it is usual practice in the world). bad wi-fi in the rooms ... Not so friendly staff! Do not expect hello or please. No direct sea view. The beds were not so comfortable but good enough. A bit small and not so cosy breakfast room. no balcony, badly design room, no swimming pool. a lot of noise during the night (inside) worst breakfast ever (small place, too crowdy, at 9 in the morning there was no more bread avaliable, we had to clean up the mess of the previous 'guest''.
